Imani
In the limo Kazimir had noticed the change in my behavior, but I pushed him away from me. I appreciated him trying to make me okay and try to see what was wrong, but it was the time for that.
The whole time I stayed silent, even back in the penthouse. I stayed silent and I changed into black leggings and a black shirt. I took one of Kazimir's jumpers as I had none and he had two.
I had brought the burner cell with me as well just for reasons like this. I walked out into the living room and he had ordered us food. I stared at the Chinese he had bought us, but I wasn't hungry.
"I'm going on a walk," I said.
"Not at this time."
He started walking over to me, but I stepped back. He kept trying to touch me and hold me in his arms, but I rejected his every touch.
"Imani, you're not going anywhere."
"Kaz, please."
"No."
"I'm still going either way, I need to clear my mind and think."
"You can do that with me, but you cannot go on a walk at this time," he sneers.
"Kazimir, your not dictating what I do right now. I'm leaving and I will be back."
"No," he repeated, frowning.
He crossed his arms and I crossed mine too. I should have known he would have never let me go this easily. I went to him and put my arms around him and he unfolded his arms.
I wrapped my arms around his large body and rested my head on his hard chest. He lifted my head up to him and I looked into his soft hazel eyes.
"I'm going to come back, I'm not running," I say, softly.
"Okay, but you take Mikhail."
"No, I want to go by myself. I will be fine alone alright, but I just need some time alone," I said.
"What if some-."
"I'm a big girl, I can handle myself perfectly fine," I interrupted.
"Mhm."
"Kazimir, alone."
"You take Mikhail."
I pursed my lips. I could do that and ditch Mikhail. Tell him to wait until I come back. I nodded my head at him and I could take the compromise.
"Okay then."
I pulled away from him and I got ready to go. I left and I got Mikhail telling him what he's going to do. I told him what he was going to do and he didn't like the idea of that. I threatened him by saying it's that or losing me and getting in trouble with Kaz.
He sighed and quickly hopped on board with my plan. I left Mikhail and I called Brayden on the burner. He didn't pick up and I waited for him to call back. He knows I'm in Miami, so why isn't he answering.
The phone begins to ring and I answer it. I put the phone to my ear and a sweet woman's voice came.
"Ms. Imani, Brayden said you have been calling. Do you have something I need to know?"
"Is this Jessica?" I ask.
"It is, Brayden, informed me you have a connection to The Reaper."
I don't know if I can trust this woman, but I have no choice. I don't know who the fuck this bitch is. She could easily be a dirty cop and I'm screwed.
"You can trust me. I have worked very closely with him. It's a bit late, but would you like to meet?"
"How can I trust you?"
