Kazimir
I kept my arm around her hips and led her into the house. I kept her close, not wanting to go anywhere. I didn't even want her to talk during these meetings. I just wanted her to sit there and be silent. Allow her to be my eyes and ears, just my observer. Especially with how Slavik caught onto the fact I let her talk.
I don't want Lorenzo thinking she has a say with anything. I don't need him thinking about who or what she is to me. I brought her with me, it says something. I don't even know myself what she is to me.
His men were leading us down the hallway and I gently squeezed her waist. She gazed up at me, but her expression was relaxed. We enter a dining hall, a long table in the middle. Chairs surrounding it and Italian decorations all over the place.
Alexei muttered something in Russian, but my focus wasn't on him. I led her towards the other end and I pulled out a chair for her. She sat down and I sat down to the left of her. I made Alexei sit on my left.
She looked around and the doors opened. Lorenzo walked out wearing green olive long shorts and a white flannel shirt. His blonde hair was slicked to the side with a fluff effect to it. He was smiling that this was about to be the best thing ever.
He looked at me, Alexei, then her last. He looked at me again and his frown slowly went away. I moved my hand to her thigh, but she hadn't said anything. His eyes narrowed onto Imani.
"Which twin is this?"
"None of your concern," I responded.
"I don't like either of them, but if I'm correct one is the scaredy cat one is the snake. I'm guessing that there is serpiente?"
"It doesn't matter which twin she is, your business is with me," I scowl.
"She killed one of my senators Kazimir, What are you doing with her?"
"He didn't come to talk about me, he came here to talk to you, so get it on with," She snapped.
His lip edged up, but he let his face fall. He clenched his jaw and he glared at me.
"She always speaks out of turn, still the same old bitch I remember," he scoffs.
"Don't even call her a bitch or you can forget this whole thing," I gritted.
He raised his brow at me and he pulled out his chair. He sat down, but while staring at her, which I didn't like. She turned to me and I looked at her, she gently shook her head at me. I understood it as, just ignore him.
"So what has brought you to Italy?"
I didn't want to look away from her, not sure if it was the right choice to bring her. Maybe I should have not let her come. I moved my attention to him, becoming serious.
"Business as usual, what else could it be?"
"Mhm, vacation," he shrugs, sarcasm in his tone.
"I take that as my invitation to stay longer and make it my vacation."
"Go ahead, I'm having an auction party at the end of this week. You can attend with your plus one."
He looked at her, then back at me. I think about the information that we gathered yesterday.
"About this party of yours, I heard there will be an assassination attempt," I shared.
Lorenzo sat up in his chair and he leaned on the table. He didn't know? So this was news to him as well.
"This is the first I have heard of it," he says.
"Where did you get this Information?" He asked.
"Well, it came from Slavik as your men have been stealing shipments from them and they aren't happy. I doubt any of my people are trying to kill you, but someone is trying to kill you," I respond.
