Over the course of the next few hours,
you talked, you laughed, and, all in all,
you had an amazing time with the professor.

Conversation flowed like a beautiful waterfall, and your thoughts were constantly saturated.

Food came and went. Wine was poured and appeared out of nowhere. Time passed and you had no recollection or consciousness of anyone but Jungkook being in the restaurant.

He was talking to you as if you were all but
a mere student, and that fact made you feel elated.

Every bit of new information he revealed
about himself, you found both captivating
and refreshing... feeling as though you were growing more and more closer to him.

Reminiscence of his childhood,
his past experiences and troubles.

When he talked, you listened.

Above all else, however, the one thing that caught your eye the most was his warm mention about his parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeon were wonderful pair from what you've heard. And they were certainly wonderful parents if they were able to raise such a respectable young man like Jungkook.

He talked about them in such a tender aspect, with so much love and admiration... even going as far as telling you about their love story - which you very much enjoyed hearing - and it truly did warm your heart.

"You wanna know something?"

Jungkook asked, and you hummed in response, picking up your wine glass to take a sip.

"Going into high school, even I didn't do well in academics." The second those words left his mouth, you were left utterly stunned.

So much so that your eyes flew to his, widened, and you covered your mouth before the wine you'd just sipped ended up on the tablecloth. "I'm sorry?"

You tried your best to mask your surprise,
but your tone made it rather obvious.

Not to mention you choking on the wine...
as embarrassing as that was.

He chuckled nonetheless, giving a nod.
"You heard me. I'd also cheated on some tests a couple of times, and was given an earful by my parents."

"Rightfully so. I hope they gave you a good spanking as well."

"Believe me, they did." You laughed at that, happy and gleeful. He grinned. "All that aside,
I learned a very important lesson from it."

"From the spanking?"

"From the cheating. But yes, from that too."

You couldn't help but smile at his unique sense of humour. You truly did enjoy his company.

Then, you proceeded to hold his gaze with a softened expression. One that you hoped would encourage him to continue. Because if anything, hearing him speak about himself in such a free and careless manner was enough to fulfil you with the hunger you needed today. Forget the dinner, deep down, all you wanted was quality time spent with him. And knowing him, his next few words were about to be very meaningful and wholesome. So, naturally,
you were all ears for what he had to say.

"My mother once told me this, 'I don't care if you get an 100 or a 0 on your tests. I don't care about that. Sure, your grades are important, but the issue here is that you cheated in order to get results' She was disappointed. That fact was all too obvious. And her words, as simplistic as they were, made me realize my mistake."

He paused to sip on his wine, and you took advantage of this short moment to admire him.

You were enthralled by this man. And you remained enthralled with him while paying little to no attention to what was going on around you.
