The final grand prix of the year was just over 72 hours away and yet Max Verstappen felt completely unprepared for the event. Arriving in Abu Dhabi the previous morning, he'd felt ready to fight for a podium after a shocking performance at the last race. Yet as soon as he spotted Zara's mop of platinum blonde hair he began second guessing himself. Would he be able to perform knowing that she was so close, for the first time in what felt like months.

The Swedish-Austrian singer was doing all that she could to avoid her ex-boyfriend and father of her unborn child. She was still in disbelief that she was pregnant. She'd always thought, due to her doctors conclusions, that she would need more than just her endometriosis treatments to make her womb healthy enough to carry children. The doctors were also surprised that the eggs had been able to implant itself without the help of IVF or other treatments. Thus why they'd theorised that her pregnancy would be a difficult one and would most likely end in a miscarriage. She'd vowed and sworn her friends to secrecy, that Max would only know of the child once she'd given birth.

And so she decided keep her time in front of the cameras at a minimum, preferring to sit next to her dad at the back of the garage where the camera men only ventured once or twice during the live broadcasts. Luckily she was just 11 weeks along, meaning she could pass for bloated or gaining a little post break up weight. No one on the team besides the two drivers and Angela knew, and they were adamant on keeping it like that.

Toto Wolff was on the fence about the pregnancy situation. He was happy that he was going to be a grandpa but he was also worried about what would happen if the pregnancy ended badly. Thus why he'd hired the best medical team he could find. He wanted everything to go smoothly and wanted to see his daughter happy.
Another thing he was unsure about was Zara's decision to not tell Max. As a father, he knew how important it was to experience every moment of your child's life, even the moments before they come into the world. And so he'd put his dislike for the Dutch aside, and made sure that by the end of the weekend the driver knew he was going to be a father.

Yet his plan seemed to go on without him putting it into motion. Zara had decided to go to dinner with the Mercedes family, which somehow included the two Williams drivers and their girlfriends. During the dinner she'd declined the wine that had been offered to her, she Aldo avoided seafood. Not to mention the grimace on her face when someone ordered a meal that had olive oil, the smell irritated her recently so much so that Susie had to use butter to cook.

"Zara are you ok?" That was Sandra as she looked at the girl worried. She along with the team were shocked that she'd declined the wine as she was known for her love of wines. Carmen, Valterri, George, Toto, Lewis and Angela looked at each other, all silently communicating on what excuse they'd use.

"It's nothing really Sandy, she's just trying to respect the laws of the country. Besides you know Zara, she's a cheapskate. Why would she pay extra for wine when she could wait until she's back home to have it for free."
Carmen was quick to defend her friend. Her excuse seemed to work as the team chuckled and poked fun at Zara for her stinginess. Yet she wouldn't be able to come to her rescue come Sunday evening.
