16. 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥, 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐨

Zara groaned in pain. She'd reached 8cm of dilation two hours ago and it seemed that her little lion refused to come out until her father arrived. Which made things difficult for Zara as all she wanted was to just get the baby out of her.

The race had finished two and a half hours ago and yet the boys hadn't arrived. This was due to there being the usual traffic leaving the circuit and the traffic in Monaco.

"Where the hell are they!?"
The blonde gritted through clenched teeth. The epidural was begging to fade out and the pain was becoming unbearable. She was at a point where everything irritated her, so much so that Victoria had to take the children to the playground as Zara couldn't deal with their noise.

"They're in the parking lot, your dad had a problem with getting through the traffic. Do you want some more ice?"
Susie replied as she brushed some hair away from Zara's sweaty face.

"Ok at least they're here. And yes please get me as many ice cube as possible. And how far is my mom?"
Diane was also on the way, wanting to be there for her daughter, even if it was only after she gave birth.

Before Susie could reply three men stumbled into the room out of breath from running.

" We're here! "
Yelled Daniel.

"Oh thank fuck! What took you so long!? And someone get the bloody doctor. I need to know how long until this baby is out of me."
The blonde was grinding her teeth as another contraction hit her. Max quickly replaced Susie as she went with Toto to find the doctor.

"Hey sweetie. How are you? Let me just say, from what I'm seeing you're taking it like a champ."

"Oh shut up Verstappen. Why couldn't you have just increased the bloody gap between you and Lewis so you could end that cursed race faster!? Ugh! And yes I know I'm taking it like a champ, what other choice do I have, your fat head baby was rushing me this afternoon only to refuse to come out until you arrive. "
The Dutchman and his Australian friend were shocked at how blunt Zara was being, but they allowed it as she was clearly in pain.

" Oh my god. I want to push. Screw it, I need to push. Now! "
With that Daniel scrambled to go find Susie, Toto and the doctor. Luckily they were already on their way back to the room.

"She's ready to push!"

An hour later, around 10 pm, the doctor and nurses stepped out of the room, a bright smile on his face.

"Mr and Mrs Wolff, I think you'd like to meet your granddaughter. And Mr Ricciardo, your goddaughter awaits you."
The trio thanked the doctor before rushing into the room.

The two new parents snapped out of their little happy bubble.

Max spoke to them with a smile. The biggest one he'd ever worn in his life.
" Everyone, meet our little lioness. Emilia Leone Wolff-Verstappen."

Later on Zara sat in the room alon with her daughter. The two stared at each other, the little girl having finally opened her eyes an hour ago, revealing a set of ocean blue orbs.

"Hi baby. It's me, your bestie. Or you can call me mom. I just want to thank you for giving me all this love. I've never felt so much much love for one person until you came along. So thank you. Also thank you for choosing me to be your mother, I know it will probably get a little bit crazy but please just bare with me and your father, we're new to this and our lives are a little crazy. But if you ever need us just know, we'll be there. I love you so much, more than life itself. "
She placed a soft kiss on the little girl's head.
