After hearing the question, Zara didn't hesitate to pull the man into her room.
"You can't just say that so loud in an empty corridor. Do you not understand the concept of echoes? And who the hell told you about that?" The girl chastised her former lover. He could not help but chuckle at her actions, he'd missed her sassy remarks.
"That's not the issue here. Just answer the question." Zara sighed before walking over to her bed and sitting on the edge of it.
"Yes I am. But listen before you start an argument about why I didn't tell you. As you know I have endometriosis, which means that this pregnancy is a high risk. So I didn't want to get your hopes up in case it resulted in a miscarriage." Max sunk down to his knees in front of Zara.
" Zara even if this does end badly, God forbid, I will still be there for you. I want to be there for you through this whole thing. But only if you'll let me. " Max knew that there was no chance in hell that Zara would forgive him so quickly for what he did but he was hoping that she'd put that all aside for the sake of their child.
" Ok. We can do this. We can be friends slash co-parents. But I don't think we should tell your parents."
"What!? Why!?"
"I'm sorry Max, but I just don't feel comfortable with telling them just yet. Especially your dad, bringing him into this situation would just stress me out. And I really don't feel like I can trust your mum right now." The driver understood her reasoning and was willing to do anything to make her happy. The topic of his parents then led them to discuss how they'd keep the pregnancy private and which friends should they tell.
