Chapter 21: The Date.

Adam's Pov:

"Why am I getting dressed all fancy?" I asked Ryan as he faced the wall whilst I put the suit on. "Because, you're going to surprise Annie when she gets home with Jack." "How?" I asked, putting the tie on. "You can turn around now." I added. "By looking nice for once. And clearly, I was right, you do look nice." Ryan said walking over to me, making me smile. "Now come on, she'll be here soon." He put his phone in his pocket and practically pushed me out the door. "Hey! Don't be so-." I turned around to see Annie in a beautiful red dress. "Wow. You look amazing!" I said to her. Jack leant down and whispered something to her, making her laugh. I couldn't stop staring at her, she looked amazing.

"So." Jack interrupted, correcting his posture. "Ryan and I, being the very good brothers, and soon to be brothers in law, (winking at me) that we are, took it upon ourselves to give you two a well deserved night out together. We have reserved a table for you for 6pm." Ryan handed me a reservation card. "I don't know what to say." I said looking up at them. "You don't have to say anything, just go out and have a good time." Annie and I smiled at them before we set off. "This is going to be great." said, as I drove to the restaurant.

We arrived and a waitress sat us down at our table, we ordered our food soon after. "I can't believe they managed to pull this off!" Annie said, laughing a little. "I'm just as amazed as you are." I replied, taking a sip of my drink. "I'm glad they did." She added. "Me too." I replied. Soon after, our food had arrived, we spent our time making the most of expensive meals and telling stories from our childhoods since Jack and Ryan were paying for the whole thing. "One time, Ryan couldn't find matching shoes, so he went to school in different colored crocks." I said, making Annie laugh. "Oh my." She said, catching her breath. We piled up our plates as the waiter took them. "Your meal is already payed, you may leave whenever you're ready." She said before leaving. "We should do this more often-Go out on dates." I said. "Yeah, once I can walk." She sighed, almost like she had forgotten about not being able to. "Hey, don't worry, you can start learning again now anyway, we could even start tomorrow if you want." I replied. "Deal." She replied.

We left the restaurant and I drove us back to Jack and Ryan's apartment, it was coming up to 10pm. We went up the elevator and Jack let us in. "Hello love birds." He smirked as I wheeled Annie inside, Ryan laughing in the background. I wheeled her into my bedroom and helped her change, before going into the bathroom to change myself. "Night." Jack and Ryan said to Annie. "Good night." She answered. "Night Adam!" They shouted to the bathroom. "Night guys." I heard their doors shut as I walked back to Annie and I's bed and tucked her in. "Comfy?" I asked. "Yep." She replied, yawning. I lay down next to her and pulled her into our usual sleeping position. "Good night Adam. I love you." She said, yawning again. "Night Annie, I love you too." I replied.
