"So I'll see you tomorrow." Katara said walking away.

"Wait katara!" Aang shouted.

"Yeah?" Katara turned back and said,

"It's kind of late and it's a long way back home so do you want to go out for dinner?" Aang said

Katara was stunned by the question and stayed silent.

"I'll take your silence as a no." Aang said.

"Uh wait, I am hungry so yes I can go to dinner with you as friends?" Katara said

"Uh yes of course as friends and great. Do you have any suggestions? If not, I know a place that I think you will enjoy." Aang said.

"I have one." Katara said.

"Great, let's go there." Aang said getting his phone to call his driver.

"I haven't told you where we're eating." Katara said.

"Yeah, keep it that way I want to be surprised." Aang said smiling while holding his phone to his ear.

Katara just nodded yes.

*TEXT*

Katara: You don't have to leave food out for me. I'm going to dinner with aang.

Suki and toph: Oooooh.

Katara: It's not like that.

Toph: still sugarqueen you are going out with twinkletoes.

Katara: no it's just dinner between friends.

Suki and Toph: yeah right.

Katara: It is. 😑

Suki: Okay whatever you say, have fun.

Toph: just not too much fun.

Katara: TOPH!

Toph: hehehehe.

"Katara the car is here." Aang said, opening the door for her.

"Thank you." Katara said going into the car.

~At the restaurant~

"This is a cute restaurant." Aang said.

"Yeah it was my mom's favorite restaurant." Katara said looking at the menu.

"She obviously has great taste." Aang said, looking up from the menu.

Katara smiled.

~five minutes later~

It was a little quiet between them, they didn't know what to talk about and they couldn't really ask about their days because they were together for most of the day.

"Um, so I saw your dad come to your office for lunch." Katara said.

"Uh yeah he's been coming from time to time." Aang said.

"I thought you didn't like your dad." Katara said.

"Yeah I don't like my dad but we are trying to improve our relationship." Aang said.

"Oh and how is that going so far?" Katara said.

"Actually he's improving and he's a lot better than before and in a long time I'm actually proud of my dad." Aang said.

"That's great!" Katara said.

"It is." Aang said.

It was again quiet between them then aang asked.
