Chapter 13 : Special conditions

Not long after what just happened...

Y/n POV

After the incident that I just experienced, Hokage-sama immediately gathered all the shinobi and made orders for all shinobi to watch over each other.

Hokage-sama made 1 special condition, namely to protect clan members who are almost extinct, and that rule must be obeyed by all shinobi.

I as the clan leader are treated specially by Hokage-sama. Hokage-sama made 2 choices, myself being watched by the ANBU or I stayed in another residence.

I thought for a moment, if I chose to be watched by the ANBU, it would make me uncomfortable and not focus on the activities I was doing. Whereas if I choose to live in another residence, I can choose where the residence is and I will be more comfortable doing activities.

In the end I chose to live in another residence. I chose to stay at the Nara residence, the place where Shikamaru lived. Hokage-sama was silent for a while and thought about my words, then nodded indicating that I was allowed to stay there. I smiled then bowed respectfully to Hokage-sama. 

After the gathering was over, I immediately went to Shikamaru and put my arm around him. He was taken aback by my sudden and effortless arrival, and soon his face returned to its original state.

"Looks like I'm going to trouble you again, Shikamaru"

"You're always troublesome, you little girl." Shikamaru put on a small smile. I just smirked at his words.

"Since I'm going back to your residence, accompany me to get my things. Please?" I asked pitifully. He who saw the expression on my face could only sigh.

"Okay, you're such a drag" I cheered. Then Shikamaru and I walked towards my residence, took all my belongings and some important scrolls.

After retrieving what could be considered sufficient items, Shikamaru and I headed to his residence. 

He walked straight to his room, without stopping by another room. I rushed to follow him because I was afraid that what I had just experienced would happen again. Shikamaru who realized my fear immediately slowed his pace and started to hold my hand.

"There's nothing for you to be afraid of." I took a deep breath, then exhaled.

Then when I entered his room, the image in my mind was exactly what I imagined. The room is really messy. Shikamaru who didn't care and felt normal continued his steps and plopped down on his beloved bed.

"Sorry if it's a mess. I'm too lazy to clean this room" I sighed seeing his attitude and behavior, I felt like an object that was just thrown away. He fell asleep a few moments later.

I immediately cleaned up this messy and dusty room. Starting from tidying clothes, sweeping, then mopping the dusty floor. When I clean it, I always sneeze because there is a lot of dust stuck to the end of the room.

After I finished cleaning, I looked around. The room now looks tidier and cleaner. There was no dust stuck to the room, no clothes scattered under the floor. I feel proud of my work and soon I'm a little sleepy from cleaning exhaustion.

I lay down on the bed and next to him. Stared at him for a long time thinking of something. something it was him who looked very exhausted. I wonder why he can be so tired, even though our activity today is just gathering shinobi and taking my things.

I can't stop thinking about this lazy but genius man who is beside me. I thought about it until I fell asleep on my own.
