Chapter 6 : Worst Day

Time skip..

(Y/n) POV

The academy exams have started and I'm just waiting for my name to be called. It's been a week since I was sick, but I feel like this pain hasn't completely healed. In fact, today is the worst day I've ever had. Starting from waking up, taking a shower, having breakfast, to going to school, it feels really dizzy.

Shikamaru had advised me not to enter the academy, but I refused. I kept reassuring him that I was fine. He could only sigh.

Why do I keep pushing it? There is some reasons. The first because I wanted to graduate quickly, the second because I was bored with the material at the academy, the third because my parents should have come home from a mission today. I want to make them proud.

Before being called, I tried my best to conserve as much chakra as possible, because when I was in this state, a lot of chakra was drained very quickly.

(Y/n) POV

"Next up, (Y/n) (L/n)!" Iruka-sensei called out to me.

I stood up and walked towards the exam room. I have gathered my chakra.

I hope this is enough..

When I entered, I saw that there were two teachers, one of whom was Iruka-sensei herself. Then I saw that Hokage-sama was directly supervising this exam.

"Are you okay (Y/n)?" Iruka-sensei asked worriedly.

I nodded, indicating I was okay. Then Iruka sensei told me to make 1 shadow clone. I nodded and did. It's actually a very easy jutsu, and I can do it.

But I'm out of luck. After I made 1 shadow clone, my body was so weak that my legs couldn't support it. But I tried to hold on until Iruka-sensei said I passed. I smiled happily, then...

I fainted.

Shikamaru POV

I had thought this would happen.

I was so worried to see her like that. I've suggested even forcing her to rest, but she vehemently refused. I could only look at her and watch her, her face was as pale as a corpse, her arms felt so thin.

While we were waiting to be called, (Y/n) didn't lift her head at all from the table. I was very worried about her.

Wait.. What's wrong with me??

I'm usually indifferent and sleep all the time, why worry about the girl beside me?

Suddenly I was called. I went to the exam room. I hid my excessive worry.

I entered the room, then did what sensei was told. It was very easy for me. It wasn't long before I passed. I immediately left the room and headed to my seat. I saw Rin was still in that position.

I sat next to her and felt the heat all over her body. I thought it was due to the effects of the pain.

Not long after, my best friend Choji approached me.

"You're worried about (Y/n)?" He asked.

"That's it.." I said spontaneously.

After I spoke like that, Choji immediately nodded and continued eating his potato chips.

(Y/n) was finally called. I saw her stand up and walk into the exam room. Her face was completely pale, like a walking corpse.
