Chapter 14 : Strange Chakra

Author POV

This month is the month in which the white grains fall slowly and very gracefully. The grain descended and landed itself on the ground, waiting for his friends to arrive.

When the grains gather, they will form a small mountain where they have descended from the sky to the ground on this earth with an entourage that is arguably not small.

Little children were running here and there playing with the pile of grains. Invite family or friends to play throwing. Laughing if the kid's throw hits his friend or family, then then they chase each other, as if this world is only for them.

This is what is called winter, a month full of cold but full of happiness.

Y/n POV

Shikamaru and I were walking along the road filled with a very thick pile of snow. Every now and then when we stop somewhere, I throw myself into a pile of snow and let my body sink by the very cold and very thick snow.

Shikamaru who watched me like that always sighed and shook his head, but not long after that he also followed my behavior to throw his body into a very thick pile of snow.

I giggled seeing him who always followed me after he sighed and shook his head, then threw himself into the pile of snow. I saw he was very messy because of the snow that stuck all over his clothes.

Seeing him who didn't care about what I laughed at, he was still lying under the snow pile, while I was still laughing with satisfaction and rolling under the snow pile while throwing snowballs at him.

While I was resting around the snow pile that I was playing with, there was someone who had been following me for a long time, and the chakra felt foreign to me. I've never felt a strange chakra around me, this is the first time I've felt it.

I who sensed the strange chakra became alert and as the strange chakra got closer around this place, I became more alert and more careful. I looked around, making sure there wasn't anything out of the ordinary and instinctive suspicion that was going on around here.

I confirmed everything that crossed my mind without noticing that Shikamaru was beside me and patted me on the shoulder. I who was too serious about the state jumped up when he tapped my shoulder.

"Oy don't daydream" I gasped in surprise, then turned to him.

"Sorry..."

"Is there something that keeps your mind busy? You seem daydreaming while checking your surroundings. What's wrong with you? Are you all right?" I nodded in response to his question. I'm fine, just a little annoying.

"Let's go to your residence, Shikamaru" I grabbed his hand and invited him to step away from this place. This place is not safe for both of us. Shikamaru just sighed and followed me.

I felt that strange chakra still lingering around this place, and getting closer as I stepped on my feet. I started to worry and became more alert as the strange chakra drew nearer. He might show his form and do things I didn't expect.

Kakashi POV

That kid is really very sensitive..

I've been trying to narrow the distance between myself and her so that it's easier for me to monitor her movements. But I was too naive, she was too sensitive for this kind of thing. I didn't get too close to her, otherwise she might know where I was.
