Chapter 7 : Move

(Y/n) POV

Just me and Shikamaru. We didn't speak to each other for the next few minutes. I went back to my bed and sat there. I felt myself getting nervous when I saw him who kept staring at me. I looked for a topic so he wouldn't stare at me like that all the time.

"Err.. How was your first day as a genin?" I asked.

"Troublesome and tedious, as I thought" he realized and replied with a slight blush on his cheeks.

I laughed at his answer. Shikamaru is still Shikamaru. I took my headband and tied it around my head.

"What do you think? I'm okay with this, right?" I asked giggling a little. Shikamaru was silent.

Then there were 4 children who came, including Sakura and Naruto, and 2 more children I did not know.

When they approached me, Sakura and the 2 children I didn't recognize instantly had a frightened look on their faces.

"What chakra power is this.. It's big and strong.." Said one of the 2 children shuddered in horror.

I looked at them with a confused face. Naruto noticed a mark on my neck.

"Hey (Y/n), what's that mark on your neck?" Naruto asked.

"Oh.. This.." I fingered the mark.

"This is just an ordinary mark-" Before I could finish speaking, Shikamaru patted me on the shoulder. From his face, I could see he was going to explain. I sighed and agreed.

"*Sigh* This will be the troublesome part. But as you can see, (Y/n) is now the leader of the (L/n) clan" he explained lazily.

Everyone was dumbfounded, except for Naruto who seemed very pleased with what he heard.

"Great! (Y/n) became the clan leader?! Congratulations!!" Naruto excitedly said it.

I laughed blandly, then touched the mark on my neck. It felt like the last gift from my mom and dad after the bracelet and the hair tail.

To get rid of that feeling, I saw 2 children beside Naruto and Sakura. I looked at their faces as a reminder I had met them.

"Who are you?" I asked coldly. My nature immediately turns cold when I meet people I don't know.

"Oh this! Sorry forgot to say, they are in the same team as you" Naruto explained.

"Oh.." I just oh.

"My name is Naoki Kazuo, please call me Nao" The boy with brownish black hair, dark blue eyes introduced himself.

"My name is Ken Hayate, you can call me Ken" A boy with black hair, brown eyes introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you and I'm sorry if I can't come on the first day" I replied feeling guilty.

"It's okay, after all our sensei also has a mission. So we'll just start tomorrow" Nao explained.

"Okay.." I said heaving a sigh of relief.

"Hey Shikamaru, you were silent when (Y/n) was talking to Nao and Ken. Are you jealous??" Naruto tease.

"Tch, shut up. What a drag.." Shikamaru replied annoyed.

"Wow, someone's jealous" Naruto teased which made Shikamaru's cheeks slightly red.

"Troublesome .." Shikamaru replied resignedly while hiding his blushing cheeks.

I giggled at how genius he was, but with just a tease from Naruto, he immediately lost and gave in and then looked away.

"Never mind Naruto, it's a pity you keep teasing him" I said giggling.

"And you actually like Shikamaru too right??" Naruto's teasing is getting worse.

"Ahaha.. I don't know.." I said while scratching my neck which didn't itch.

(Y/n) POV

After the conversation was over, I was allowed to go home by the doctor because I had fully recovered. I thanked Shikamaru for accompanying me while I was unconscious. Shikamaru just replied 'troublesome' then continued walking.

I intend to tidy up my bedroom when I get to the Nara residence, since I have now become the leader of the (L/n) clan. I wanted to tell Shikamaru, but I felt a little awkward when I was with him. Maybe because I bothered him too much.

When I got there, I immediately packed up my things and took them to the (L/n) clan's residence which is none other than my house. Then I cleaned it up like it was when I first came here.

When it's over, I want to meet Shikamaru. But when I went to his room, I saw he was fast asleep on his bed. I didn't want to bother him and rushed to the kitchen to tell Yoshino-san that I wasn't going to stay here anymore.

"Why not tomorrow?" Yoshino-san asked.

"No need aunty. I will return to my residence right now. Thank you Yoshino-san" I said while bowing respectfully.

Then I went back to the room, I just used my jutsu so as not to fall on the way.

(Y/n) POV

Finally I arrived at my house. I really miss it because I haven't touched this place in a long time, even though it was only a few weeks ago that I stopped by here.

I entered, then to my room and packed my things. I don't have a lot of stuff, so it's really quick to sort it out. But the problem is, my house is very very dusty.

I cleaned it up until I didn't realize it was already 10. I rushed to bed so I wouldn't be late to get up early tomorrow.

Shikamaru POV

The sun was starting to shine very brightly. I rubbed my eyes then slowly opened them. I got up and then took a shower. I remember that today I have practice with my team.

Troublesome..

When I remembered that, my body went limp and didn't want to leave the bed. But what can I do, promise a promise. I went to the bathroom and took a shower. After taking a shower I put on my ninja clothes, then went to the dining room to fill my hungry stomach.

When I got there I saw my mother was washing the dishes and on the dining table already arranged food for breakfast. I sat down and as usual I waited for (Y/n) to eat together.

But she didn't show up either, I who was starting to feel annoyed tried to ask my mother.

"Mom, did you see (Y/n) earlier?" I asked.

"Why? You weren't told by her?" My mother asked again. I'm a little confused.

"No, she didn't tell me" I replied.

"That's rarely, but usually (Y/n) always tells you first" my mother mumbled.

"What happened yesterday? Why didn't she tell me?" I asked a little curious. my mother sighed slightly, then answered my question.

"Yesterday (Y/n) told me that she was no longer staying here. The reason may be because she is already a clan leader or maybe because she doesn't want to bother this family" My mother explained. I was just shocked and speechless.

"She's a child who knows herself. She can't depend on someone all the time, because she thinks that she will be more troublesome if she relies too much on others. And the strong reason is that her parents are gone and she is the one who takes the place of her parents" My mother continued.

"If you want to see her, she's already at her house," my mother said teasingly.

I will visit her after this..

I finished my breakfast, then went to my room to prepare what I would bring for practice later.

After I prepared everything, I said goodbye to my mother and went to (L/n)'s residence.
