The hall fell silent. The villain pressed down on my chest as I stared at Kakashi. Kakashi faltered, his eyes flickering from side to side. "Owl..." Kakashi stepped closer, fear clear in his stance. "Get off him."
Owl laughed, pushing down harsher and causing me to gasp in pain. "Now why would I do that, Vapey!"
"Please get off him before you do something you regret." Kakashi spread his stance, getting into a fighting position that only made Owl laugh harder.
"Big words for the cowardly traitor! What are you gonna do?!"
Kakashi bit his tongue, glancing at me. He was hesitating to stop me from getting hurt. He was an idiot. Gripping Owl's ankle, I pulled him to the side and chucked him off me. Hopping up, I grabbed Denki's hand and dragged him to the side. "You better have a really good explanation for this Kashi!" Skidding behind the idiot, I glared daggers.
Kakashi opened and closed his mouth repeatedly, unable to form any words.
Owl picked himself off the floor, cracking his jaw back into place and wiping away the blood. "Now, that was rude."
"No, that was disgusting." A small flash of regret crossed my mind when Owl laughed maniacally. He charged forward, his knife primed towards my neck. This was getting ridiculous.
Screaming, Owl stopped mid-step, covering his face in pain. Kakashi lowered his hands, the stream still floating off the palms.
"You blinded him?! Nice."
Both Kakashi and Denki glared at me disapprovingly as I shrugged my shoulders. I wasn't lying. Owl growled as his eyes grew back and the burns scabbed over. Yelling at the top of his lungs, Owl ducked down and sliced at Kakashi who dodged each one. "You always were the annoying one! I'll kill you- no better yet, I'll torture you and force you to watch as I take down all the other fake heroes, starting with you pathetic little friends!"
"Wow, he's really lost it this time," 'Bossy' said offhandedly to the other villain who facepalmed with a loud groan.
"Of course he has." Peeking out of his mask, they glared at Owl. "Owl..." Owl ignored him. "Owl." Owl still ignored him. "Owl!" Owl stumbled to a halt, spinning to look at the other villain. "Did you take your meds this morning?"
Owl blinked well... owlishly. "You planned mass murder and you're questioning my sanity?! So hypercritical.... hippopotamus? Hypocritical!"
"That didn't answer the question."
"Oh shut up, Jonson! Hang on a sec, where did Vapey go?" Owl twisted his head in confusion but we were long gone.

Huffing in pain, I collapsed to the side. Denki leaned on my shoulder as he struggled to breathe. Kakashi fell back on the floor breathing heavily.
"You better have a really good explanation, Kashi." Glaring at Kakashi, I maintained eye contact. He will break eventually.
"Kaka, Dekiru, you okay?" Charlie snuck around the corner, Mark sneaking behind her.
Holding up a finger, I shushed her, narrowing my eyes. Mark and Charlie shared a look, trying to decipher what was going on. After another minute of uncomfortable silence, Kakashi finally cracked. Knew he would.
"I joined them two years ago. When I joined U.A I tried to pull out of the group- successfully did in my second year, that's why they call me a traitor. Can we move on and focus on the terrorists trying to kill the heroes defending this place?" Kakashi pulled out the sector map, grabbing a pen from Charlie's pocket.
"You're lying to me."
"No, I'm not."
"You saved me in Hosu meaning you either are lying to me about leaving or withholding the truth and continuing on your own."
Kakashi stopped, glaring at me. "I saved your life, can't we just leave it?!"
"Not if you're a villain!"
The group fell quiet. Kakashi didn't look me in the eyes. Denki grabbed me, pulling me away from Kakashi. He looked almost fearful of the third year, shaking slightly. Charlie hummed, throwing a piece of popcorn in her mouth.
Glaring at her, I scowled. "Is this entertaining to you?"
"Yep. You really think that super-gay, cry-over-his-favourite-characters, Kakashi Masami is a villain? That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. And I've spent the last two hours with this moron." Charlie pointed over her shoulder to Mark who gasped in offence. "He's not a villain."
Crossing my arms, I raised my eyebrow. "Then why does he know the villains?"
Charlie didn't seem to know the answer, lost for any words to explain this situation.
"I'm not a villain." Kakashi lowered his head, twisting his hands together.
"Why should I believe anything you say? For all, I know you've been lying to us this whole time!"
Kakashi shifted, he wasn't going to tell me anything.
Turning away from him, I pushed myself up. "You know, for a bit, I thought I had a friend, but if you're a villain, you were probably just using me to get to 1A." Denki jumped up, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder.
"I didn't lie to you, you just didn't understand the truth. I came to UA when I was sixteen, join 2B. I left in my second year, that just so happened to be this year after I saved you." Kakashi refused to look at any of us. "I'm not a villain, I never attack civilians or bystanders or even villains. I never attacked any of those people and I never used my Quirk so technically I wasn't in breach of the Quirk law."
Sighing, I slid back down. "But you attacked heroes?"
"They deserved it."
"Why?"
Kakashi didn't answer me when Charlie gasped. "Mirio..."
Kakashi nodded, running his hand over his eyes. He could sense our questions. "You really want to know my 'tragic backstory.' Is that going to help us in any meaningful way?"
Crossing my arms over my chest, I raised my head high. "As I'm not trusting you until I understand how you know the villain, I would say it would help."
"Fine."
