"Izuku! You need to get going!"
I could hear mum shouting from downstairs causing me to put my game on pause. Was it morning already? Oh no, Katsuki is going to moan at me again. I might not have slept at all last night. Putting down the controller I ran around and pulled on a fresh... um, fresher uniform and grabbed my bag.
I could see Katsuki watching for me with a disapproving glare.
"I know, I know." Running passed him I grabbed his wrist and forced him to follow me.
"I really shouldn't have got you that game," Katsuki muttered with a sigh, he kept looking at my bags as if they were new.
"You lost fair and square. Besides, I've almost finished the main gameplay."
"And the post-story?"
"...That will only be one extra night of work... okay maybe a week." Katsuki's stare was so disapproving I could barely breathe... Did that make sense?
Katsuki sped up to drag me, honestly, I was too tired to think about it. He pushed me onto the train and let my head fall on his shoulder. He helped drag me to school where I instantly laid down my head.
"I regret my life choices," I grumbled into the wood.
"Does that mean you'll sleep tonight?"
"Let's be realistic, Katsuki. It is me we are talking about."
I could hear someone laughing. I tilted my head to glare at the people but my look softened when spotting Kaminari and Kirishima.
"Hey Bakubro, Midoribro!"
"Please be quiet." I tried to curl in on myself, turning away from the way too loud human being that was invading my personal space.
"Ignore him, he didn't sleep, again," Katsuki explained off handily. He was used to this and couldn't care less.
I felt someone invading my personal space as they put their head down on my desk. I lifted my head slightly to see Kaminari smiling at me. "You alright Dekuri?"
"I'm dead."
Kaminari shot back in shock, making me laugh.
"I'm dying," I shouted dramatically, rolling over and falling off the chair. "Ow. That hurt."
Katsuki was snickering at me as Kaminari knelt down to help me back into my chair. I clung onto Kaminari's shirt, burying myself into the fabric as he pulled up a chair so he wasn't just perched in the middle of the aisle. I'm too tired for this. I was getting a headache that was pounding at my skull. If I had been sensible I would ask for the day off but what's the point in being sensible?
Aizawa eventually walked in. He stood at the front and thankfully he used his monotone voice that was quiet enough to not hurt my head- not that he cared. We were going to something called the USJ but I was too tired to work out what it meant.
Kaminari attempted to drag me onto the bus but I was more surprised I was still awake rather than anything else.
Sitting on the bus, waiting for us to show up at this training centre was boring. I- of course- was in my hero outfit and was way too tired for the level of noise around me. Yawning, I let my head fall on Kaminari's shoulder. If I had been more awake, I might have melted at that fact but right now I'm too tired to think.
"Umm, Bakugo? What do I do?" Kaminari was doing his best to remain still and keep his voice down but I could hear him.
"You do not move," Katsuki said, using overly dramatic pauses to emphasise what he was saying.
"But, what if I need to move?"
"You don't. Dekuri doesn't sleep as it is, don't go waking him."
"R-right." Kaminari shuffled a bit but other than that he settled. I groaned before nuzzling into his warmth and drifting off to my much-needed sleep.
~~~
"Come on Dekuri! You can't beat me!" Kaminari tilted on his legs as if that would help him.
"Not a chance," I smirked as I easily beat Kaminari yet again.
He let out an annoyed groan and fell back on my bed. "How are you so good at this?!"
"Practice, Kaminari. Lots of practice." Looking over at him, he was perfect. His yellow hair had become messy and his shirt had lifted up a little to show of his pale skin. His eyes where half closed, tiredness clear on his face.
"I should get going." Kaminari sat up as I bit my lip.
"You could stay if you wanted."
"Wait?! Really Dekuri?!"
"Yeah, if you want to. And you can call me Izuku, I think I would prefer that." I leaned in, he was so close. His breath was on me, tingling my skin.
"U-um, Dekuri, time to wake up, we're at the USJ." Kaminari's voice interrupted my sleep, making me groan. I wanted to stay in my dream. "Dekuri!" Kaminari pushed me off his shoulder and made me fall to the floor. I yelped before looking up at him.
"That was cold." Sitting up, I ran my hand threw my hair.
"Pleasant dream, Dekuri?" Katsuki was smirking at me while I glared back.
"Be quiet, Katsuki." Since when did I start dreaming sweet stuff like that? ...Since when did I start dreaming?
Following the rest of the class out of the bus, we approached the unforeseen simulation joint. Where on Earth did they get the funding for this?!
We were greeted by Thirteen who was predictably dramatic. He went on about how our Quirks were both useful and dangerous- as if we didn't know that already. He said that we would learn how to save people involved in natural disasters. It shouldn't be too bad... unless I'm in the flood zone; electricity and water do not mix.
"Woah, they've even got fake villains," Kaminari gasped, causing me to refocus.
Those did not look like fake villains. "Kaminari, get back." I took a step forward as I readied to fight. Aizawa ran forward, leaping off the edge and flying down to punch the first villain.
Villains were here.
Suddenly, I wasn’t tired anymore.
