Chapter 15

Lucy's POV:
It was around 8 o'clock, Erica and I grabbed our bags and went into my car. I started driving to Devon's house because he asked me to pick him up.
"Um... Lucy." Erica says as I am driving.
"Yee what's wrong?" I respond confused.
"If Devon try's something tonight what do you think you would do?" she says was a smile on her face.
"I don't know, to be honest I had a thing for him during the school year but I'm over it. He's like my brother now." I say turning into the Starbucks parking lot.
"Ouch brother zoned" she says laughing.
Well I say mike pretty cozy next to you." she continues talking.
"Shut up! He's my brothers best friend." I say as we both get out of my car and get in line for Starbucks.
"Yeah but he's your brothers hot best friend." Erica says laughing as I nudge her with my arm.
"Okay okay he is pretty hot." I say blushing.
"Hi! Welcome to Starbucks what can I get you?" The girl behind the counter asked.
"Hey, could I get one double chocolatey chip frappé, tall." I say to the lady.
"I'll have a vanilla been ,tall please." Erica says after me. We pay and walk back to the car and drive to Devons house.

It was 9:13 and I just got to Devons house. I pull out my phone and text him.
*im here. hurry!

About 4 minutes after her starts to come out to the car.
"What about you and Jake. You know he misses you." Erica says as Devon steps into the car.
"Erica could we not talk about that now?" I say fast so Devon wouldn't hear what we were talking about.

It was 9:20 and no one was at the party yet so Shawn told Devon Erica and I to put out bags in his room. We walked upstairs, when we got to Shawn's room we put the bags down. Devon went straight down but Erica and I started to put our makeup on in his bathroom. when I was half way done we heard the door open. It was to early for people to come so I knew it was jake.
"Have you talked to Jake yet?"
"Nope. I have been dogging his texts." I say taking a deep breath.
"Lucy! You know you have to talk to him." she reminds me.
"I know don't remind me please, it's weird enough as it is." I say as I hear the door start opening. We stop talking then took at the door.
"Hey Erica." Jake says with a smile then looks at me.
"Hey Lucy." He says awkwardly, drops his bag on the bed and walks down the stairs.
"See awkward." I say and finish putting on my makeup.
