Summer Love

Chapter 4

Farkle's POV

I've already finished packing, so I decide to text Lucas.

Farkle- Hi

Lucas- Hey, buddy

We text for a while, me telling him about Riley (who I not-so-secretly have a crush on), and him telling me about Maya and giving me sports updates. I swear, Lucas practically breathes sports. I enjoy the concept, but I just don't get it. Eventually I turn off my phone and head down to dinner. 

My mom is on a business trip, so I eat with my dad. He's in charge of Minkus International. Sometimes I wish he was home more, but being the son of Stuart Minkus is never dull. Once, we even flew around the world in his helicopter.

"So, son," he says.

"So, father," I reply.

"Big day tomorrow, huh?"

"Yup."

"Are you nervous?" he asks

"No! Of course not! Farkle doesn't get nervous!" I yell, my voice getting louder.

My father raises his eyebrows.

I sigh. "Fine, maybe just a little."

He laughs. "Don't worry, Farkle, you'll be fine," he scratches his head. "Cory and Topanga and Riley will take great care of you."

"Yeah," I agree. I sigh, smiling.

He reads my mind. "You're thinking about Riley."

"How could you tell?" I laugh. 

"Well you went," he puts his head on his hands and looks on dreamily. "Ahh,"

"Did not!" I reply. He laughs again.

My phone beeps with a new text from Riley.

Riley- So.... can't wait to see you tomorrow! I mean, Maya and Lucas too. And you. Especially you. And Maya and Lucas. And you. Oh, forget it

I smile. My dad tries to keep in his giggles. 

I stand up. "Well, that was a lovely dinner, father." 

"Thank you son," he replies. We're very formal sometimes. It's kinda weird. 

It's my bedtime, 9:30, so I quickly change into my pajamas and hop into bed. I put on the same eye shade thingies I wear during class sometimes and drift off to sleep. "Farkle farkle farkle farkle...."

A/N 

Did any of you see the trailer for the new GMW episode? Can't wait until next Friday!

So I just saw Riley's kiss from Girl Meets First Date... I'm sad now :(  Hopefully Laya will kiss too???

Next chapter: another GMW character will arrive. After that: they'll hit the road and... interesting things happen. Chapter 5 will be up be Wednesday (probably sooner).
