Lucas's POV

I'm wearing all black today. And no, I'm not turning into Brandon, that rebel guy who only came into our class like once.

My days like that are over.

We decided to have the funeral at the ranch where my dad grew up. It was our favorite place to go together. I think he'd be glad to know that we're celebrating his life at the place he was happiest at.

My heart is full of sadness today, but I can feel the pain slowly dulling. I'll always carry it with me, but hopefully it'll settle in the back of my mind, eventually.

Maya, Riley, and Farkle step out in various dark clothing items. I'd say it's impossible to look good in head-to-toe black but Maya can even pull that off.

We all meet in silence and walk over together to the chairs. Maya slips her hand into mine.

We take our seats.

"Will Friar led a wonderful life," the pastor begins. I shed a tear. This is just too hard.

Maya squeezes my hand.

I squeeze back.

The pastor continues, but I barely hear anything. I just look around at the fifty-something people who have come to mourn for my dad together. I see my mom, who just flew in from NYC this morning, sitting in the row behind me. Her face is tear-stained and it looks like she hasn't slept in days.

"Will is succeeded by his parents, niece, Carmen, wife, Jamie, and his son, Lucas. And his," he pauses and re-adjusts his glasses. "His beautiful future daughter-in-law, Maya."

Maya blushes and holds my hand even tighter.

I don't mind.

When the funeral is over, we all head back to the RV. It's time to go home.

Farkle's POV

It's been an... eventful summer. But one event that I think NEEDS to happen hasn't happened yet. I see the rest of the gang heading to go home, but I stop one of them. "Riley?" I ask. She turns around.

"Yeah, Farkle?" she asks nervously.

Just be normal, I think to myself. Don't make a fool of yourself; be cool.

I lean over and kiss her cheek. I pull away, exhilarated. I put my hands up in the air.

"Thank you, I am Farkle!" I exclaim.

She smiles and I walk back to the RV.

That went pretty well if I do say so myself.

Very normal.

A/N: One last chapter after this. Considering I'm having a really hard time figuring out an ending, this might be a long one.

I won't be updating this or Our World until Saturday at the earliest; I'm in the crew for my school's musical, and we have show nights all this week!
