A/N: A dream, a note, and a TFIOS reference! Beware: cliffhanger...

Lucas's POV
The last hour has been... eventful.
First I told my crush since forever that I liked her. Then I heard my dad was dying in the hospital. Then I got in a trailer and sped out of Baltimore with my best friends, teacher, miscellaneous other family members, a friend of the Matthews, and an older man who randomly gave me perfect advice to get the girl of my dreams.
I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up, my friend. And then down. And then up again. And then we all fall off the ride because that's the kind of crazy situation we're bound to get in to.
Trees are rolling by outside the window. When Mr. Matthews heard what had happened, he literally dropped everything (and Mrs. Matthews caught it) and, with a quick goodbye to Morgan, ran to the trailer. We piled in and drove off in what felt like just a few seconds.
We've driven for 7 hours. The sky is dark and everyone is in their rooms. Farkle is in his bed across the room from me, and he's mumbling something about Riley. I smile, the first smile since this morning. They just have to end up together.
I'm lying on my bed with my eyes closed. It's night time, but I can't sleep. If I fall asleep, I'll lose some of that valuable time where I'm alive and my dad is too.
But eventually I do sleep.
I see a beautiful girl wearing a long white gown. It has a lace sleeveless top and a flowing skirt, and she's carrying a bouquet of dark red roses. She looks at me and smiles. It takes me a second to recognize her. She has long wavy blonde hair and friendly blue eyes, and she is wearing a sparkly ring on her right hand. A balding man runs up to us. "Okay, Lucas and Maya, this is your moment. Remember to stop a few feet from arch to say your vows." He scurries away.
I look down to find that I'm all dressed up too- in a fancy tuxedo. I have a red rose in my pocket, and I'm wearing a tie around my neck. I grin at Maya. She blushes and takes my hand. The doors open to reveal a meadow. Chairs are set up on each side of a long brick path. And at the front is a minister, short and in a wheelchair. He looks a lot like Feeny. Then I see a ghost. The ghost of my dad.
I wake up in a cold sweat. The door to our room isn't closed all the way, and I can see one eye looking at me through the crack. My heartbeat stops for a moment. The figure reaches a hand through the door and drops a note on the floor. Then the person walks away.
I walk over to the door. I open it to see if the person's still there, but there's no one to be found.
I go inside, pick up the note, and begin to read.
