82|Power Outage

Alexis's pov

I woke up not too long ago I've been having really really bad pains and cramps in my stomach and my lower back

It's Braxton Hicks contractions ,or false labor

I've been having them on and off since the accident (it's only been about a week since then)

There's nothing I'd like to be doing more than sleeping right now I mean damn it's 1 am and there's a really heavy n' intense thunderstorm happening outside and I love to sleep during thunderstorms

a flash of lightening lit up the room for a split second then the boom came not even 5 seconds later that's perfect sleeping weather

I gasped as another rather painful one hit I decided I needed to wake Harry, as soon as the pain stopped I cupped his face "Baby" I cooed I rubbed his cheek "Harry"

He hummed and reached up to hold my hand "Harry" I patted his cheek "Baby I'm having those pains again"

He frowned peeking his eyes open "pains?" He mumbled

"Yeah and it's really bad" I frowned

He squeezed my hand "are you sure it's not labor love?"

"I don't think so"

He leaned up on his elbow letting my hand go "have you timed them to be sure?"

"No" I shook my head

He turned and leaned over to grab his phone from his nightstand "I'll time them"

I nodded looking down at my bump "I don't think I'm in labor"

"Well the doctor said the baby looked nearly ready when we were in the hospital he thought you might go into early labor, he was surprised you didn't after or during the accident"

"Yeah I was surprised too" I nodded he laid back down I cuddled into him another cramp came he kissed my cheek and rubbed the side of my bump til it was done then set a timer

Another one came not too long after "that was 7 minutes apart" he said

"Well if it's consistent then..." I didn't even wanna say it out loud

As we waited for the next pain his phone buzzed he looked at it and instantly sat up "what?" I asked sitting up with him

"Stay here" he got up

I crawled after him "what's wrong?" I asked a touch panicked

"It's alright my love it's alright" he said soothingly "I got a notification that the guard left the booth by the gate I'm gunna go see what's wrong"

"But-" I grabbed his hand "no baby please don't leave me"

He leaned back over the bed giving me a kiss "it probably sprung a leak that's all it's happened before" he stroked my hair "I'll be right back, Stay in the room"

"Harry I-" I hunched over as I got another pain he looked at his phone

"That was just about 8 minutes" he looked at me "take out your phone and time them while I'm gone okay?"

"Okay" I whimpered and grabbed my phone starting my timer he walked out

I sat back on the bed my legs crossed under me I watched the time on my phone

Then I heard the air stop I looked at the alarm clock Harry had on his nightstand and it was off I turned and reached for the lamp but when I turned it on nothing happened

Shit

I looked toward the window I didn't think the storm was strong enough to knock out the power but I mean I can see some of the shadows from the trees at the edge of the backyard and they are whipping in the wind
