85|The Code

Harry's pov

I heard a giggle I turned looking at my 2nd screen to see what Alexis was laughing about

I raised my eyebrows showing her I expected an explanation

She bit her lip "when you're really focused you get angry eyebrows" she giggled again mocking my 'angry eyebrows'

I bit my lip hard stopping a smirk "you're very distracting you know that mm?"

She was feeding the baby and working but that didn't stop her from acting a fool "even more than when I'm there in person?"

"Nearly" I grinned

I looked back down at the paper staring trying to recall what the hell I was justwriting

"MS.DIXON LUNCH!" I turned hearing Mrs.Short over my speakers I watched Alexis look toward the door of our room

"Call me back after lunch okay love?" She nodded "I love you"

"I love you too Haz" she ended the call

I shook my head smiling weakly to myself, now I could finally get my work done I have no idea how she still be so productive while she teases me like that

There was a knock I sighed and sat up yet again halted from my train of thought "YES?" I yelled I lost most of my edge as I saw Jupiter peek in "Jupiter" I said

"Hello Mr.Styles" she stepped in but still didn't leave the doorway "did- did Ms.Dixon have the baby?"

I hadn't told anyone, I mean I take off when I want I report to no one I just sent out mass emails and that was it

"Oh yes she did" she smiled

"It's a girl?"

"Yes her name is Nelly Love Styles"

"Aww that's so pretty" she bit her lip "will be she coming back anytime soon?"

"She will be back soon" I nodded

"Will she bring the baby? A few of us are kinda just wondering"

"Yeah but not for awhile" I pulled out my phone "I have a picture of Nelly if you'd like to see"

Her eyes went wide "really?" I nodded unlocking my phone she hurried over and looked at my screen "wow look at her" she smiled widely "she's beautiful"

"Thank you" I put my phone down "was that all?" I questioned

She nodded "yes I'm sorry to bother you"

"No it was no bother" I said soothingly because I could still see the slight nervousness she felt around me

"Thank you have a good day" she smiled

"You too" I watched her leave I looked at my 2nd monitor and turned it to my video feeds just so it wasn't a blank desktop I found her in the living room with Mrs.Short eating together

I finished my notes on the document and opened my main computer ready to sort through some emails

My phone buzzed I picked it up glancing at the notification

The guard left the booth

I looked back at the 2nd monitor the living room was empty I saw her in the bedroom she sat on the bed

Then hopped back up and sat on the bed again then hopped back up and sat on the bed again

It's looping

I pulled up her name and called her it rang for a few seconds "hello?" She answered

"Alexis hey Baby what are you doing?"

"Changing a diaper why?"

I jumped out of my seat when the feeds all blacked out and read

System Down

"Get Mrs.Short in the bedroom with you right now, get the bat from under the bed, lock the bedroom door" I jogged out the office

"W-what why?" I heard her moving "MRS.SHORT!" She screamed

"The cameras went off" I heard her pull her into the room and she locked the door

"Why?" She questioned

"I don't know I'm on my way home have Mrs.Short call 911"

"She doesn't have her phone" Alexis said

"Fuck okay stay on the line I'm calling"

I called explaining as best I could as fast as I could that it's as a security breech and that someone had attacked her recently and that I had a newborn and that he was there to hurt her without a doubt

I clicked back to the line with Alexis "Baby?" I asked I heard nothing "Alexis?" I raised my voice slightly still silent I growled hanging up I sped the entire way home going at least 90 when ever possible

I managed to pull up before the police the guard wasn't in the booth to let me in I dug through my car trying to find the remote to open the gate but I got too frustrated I wasn't going to find it like this

I got out slamming my car door I ran to the gate and climbed over it as I got to the top I dropped down squatting to handle the impact then shot up and ran full force toward the house

I threw open the door nearly tripping over myself at the sight

Alexis had the bat in her hands blood on the end of it and on the ground before her was my father with a knife in his hand

I looked back at her she looked at me just as shocked "I-I'm sorry" she whispered

I blinked stepping forward slowly I took the bat and wiped the handle with my shirt then grabbed the end putting my fingerprints on it I dropped it next to my father I grabbed her dragging her back to the bedroom Mrs.Short screamed at my barging in I heard sirens approaching

I pushed Alexis next to her "you never left this room" I said

She nodded I looked at Mrs.Short "she never left your side"

"Mr.-"

"SHE NEVER LEFT YOUR SIDE AM I CLEAR?"

"Y-yes" I walked out of the room slamming the door behind me

I met the police at the door they drew their guns seeing me "I called that's my father" I motioned to him on the ground

"What happened? Where's the others?"

"My bedroom end of the hall last on your left It's my wife, baby, and maid" I picked up the bat "I hit him" I used the bat to point at the knife in his hand "he had a knife"

One of the officers pulled on a glove and took the knife from my father then reached out to me I passed him the bat

Another of the other officers leaned down and put his fingers to his neck "well he's alive but he's out cold"

I saw a woman officer guiding out Alexis with the baby and Mrs.Short I caught Alexis saying "I don't know I was with my maid in the room until Harry came to the door" she looked at Mrs.Short

"We were huddled in the bathroom"

I looked back at the officer in front of me "my cameras went off and he's the only other one who had the code to shut down my system" I pointed to a camera in one of the corners of the living room

"Why?" The officer asked taking little notes here and there

"I run a security company, it was his company before it was mine" I frowned "he knows how to get around it, he made the system"
