Seek the common good

To be oneself is fundamental to advance on the path of life, to feel eudaimonia and nostalgia at the same time are two of the most important pleasures for the human being. When one realises the space one occupies in the world, one will be able to suffer a thousand battles and still survive by becoming an honest and courageous person. How many times have we manifested hatred because reason has won over love? All human beings manifest thousands of emotions 24 hours a day, there are times when we wake up breathless and hopeless, while at other times we wake up with the crown of good towards oneself. To be good with oneself is to have that sense of self-efficacy, that is, to appreciate our greatest achievements, even those small ones that have been belittled by others. I have known people in my life who have not been able to fill their peace of mind because of the lack of pride of others, that is, they need others to know that they have achieved a lot after much sacrifice. You have to realise that life can give you back good and bad things, but if you look at your achievements and accept yourself, it won't take the wise words of someone around you to recognise your talent. Unlike not feeling good about yourself, that connection of your ego with your confidence that you have developed over the years will be null, as you need to find the value of those results that may have been negative for you, but that people around you really see as the greatest achievement of your life.  This also has its advantages, as we saw in one of the previous chapters: in the negative there is always something positive, in the positive there is always something negative. One of the advantages within the negative in this topic is self-reflection, I mean, it is very important to recognise your mistake in order to enhance it tomorrow, so that you have reflected on the mental and physical process of that underestimated achievement.

From my experience, I have reflected on my life's achievements and I have been able to remember the negative unfortunately, but my greatest achievement that I always keep in mind after remembering those things that want to belittle me is: to replace the negative thought with the positive one whenever I realise that I have thought about the negative. It really works, because once you remember a happy moment in your life, that horrible thought fades away without you even realising it. Sometimes you don't recognise when you are in an emotional void, so it is important to question yourself about that motivation when pursuing a hobby as something personal. In addition, sadness towards oneself can lead to the disappearance of those hobbies even if you know that it was something temporary, I mean, you think that the sadness could last a day but you realise that it is a dead end. An emotional imbalance can be synonymous with the above, the alteration of affectivity in which people suffer great ups and downs in their moods without any reason to justify them.

Wanting to do things well is the initial step in the search for the good, as we enhance our value and identify past mistakes in order to close stages that are not part of the human good. According to Aristotle, the human good is the whole of man's actions within aspects such as art, science, choice... with a potential purpose that relates to the good. Karma has a truthful and a non-truthful part, that is, there are people who believe in karma because of their good deeds to society, or even recognise the bad they have done and they know that they are due for something worse. On the other hand, there are people who do not believe it, as many think it is all part of human intuition. Human intuition is part of self-reflection, even of the desire for human actions, as one wishes for things that may perhaps come about in an indefinite time. The human being as it came into the world is a species capable of doing things well, but the problem is the question: is the human being good or bad?

This question has been seen in many books on philosophy and scientific subjects, but the answer to this question is very varied. Every human being can make things right, but the great truth is that many of us try to run away from happiness by looking for the traces of the past and hurt those who no longer deserve it. In my case, I have lost many people in my life who continue to leave their mark on my present, but I never wish harm on anyone, no matter how great the emotional damage. Forgiving others is the act of human good. If you are really not able to get over the people in your past, forgive yourself by seeking the good without interposing your actions in the life of another. Being invisible in reality is a controversial issue, that is, many of us hate to be invisible to society and that our problems are just non-existent stones. We must learn that solving problems through the advice of others is a human error, because if we question our doubts to society, our ego is worthless and it will be more difficult to trust oneself because of these insecurities.

Never doubt yourself because your ego believes in insecurity rather than self-reason. The pursuit of happiness can be complicated, but if you start by empowering your courage to be your own lifeline, you will recognise the forgiveness of every situation that stands in your way, and you will be able to flee from those people who hold you back because of the problems that flood your ego.
