You stared down at the pregnancy test in your hand, the little pink plus sign making your head spin.
Pregnant.
You really were pregnant. Unable to hold it in, an excited squeal left your lips and you tapped your feet happily against the floor, holding the test to your chest in happiness. You had a hunch that you might be expecting when you kept getting sick and your breast's started hurting, but now it was official.
But how would you tell the others? Tell Yata? How would he react? How would any of them react? Yata was nineteen after all, and you were eighteen. Not exactly the best age to be expecting a baby. Especially when you and Yata were involved with Homra. Not that anything was wrong with that, you loved it, but it certainly was dangerous at moments.
Shaking your head, you decided you'd worry about that when the time came. For now you'd enjoy the exciting new news. The thought of a little Misaki running around made you grin widely.
"Y/N?" A voice called out from the front room. "Babe, you here?"
"Yeah, be there in a minute!" You called back, looking around for a safe hiding place for the test, before deciding nothing was safe and shoving it down your bra. You quickly flicked the bathroom light off and excited the bathroom, making your way to the kitchen, were Yata and Rikio were with the takeout.
"Hey guys," You greeted with a smile. "Took you long enough." You teased.
Yata narrowed his eyes at you playfully as you dug into the one bag, pulling out the fried rice. "Oi, shut your mouth."
You simply grinned, kissing him on the cheek before moving to sit down. His cheeks blew up red and Rikio snickered, causing Yata to sock him in the arm, grumbling a "shut up" to his partner.
Once the three of you had finished your meal, Rikio decided to take off for the night. You bid him farewell before plopping down on the couch next to Yata, shooting him a puppy dog look.
"Yataaaa..." You called sweetly, making said boy raise an eyebrow at you. "Will you go make us some popcorn?"
"Why don't you go do it?"
"Because I'm tired, and you're my strong, sweet boyfriend who loves to do things for his girlfriend."
Yata scoffed teasingly, though he did get up. "Yeah, right."
"Thank you!" You grinned as he started for the kitchen.
"Yeah yeah yeah."
You smiled, leaning back into the couch and closing your eyes. You mind began to wonder, thoughts about the baby filling your head. What would it be? Boy or a girl? What about names? Would they look more like Yata or you? Or an even mix of both of you? Would they take up skateboarding like Yata? And what about-
"Shit!" Yata suddenly cursed from the kitchen. "Damn fucking machine!"
Your eyes shot open and you set your feet back on the ground, pushing yourself up and moving towards the kitchen. Your eyebrows shot up at the sight of popcorn popping all over the place, amusement coursing through you as Yata cursed up a storm.
"Yata," You called, making his look back at you. "You didn't hook the lid right."
Yata looked back at the popcorn machine, his cheeks heating up. "Oh."
You chuckled as he fixed it, moving to his side and grabbing some of the popcorn off the counter, tossing it into your mouth. "Yum."
"Go sit back down, I've got it now." Yata poured the rest of the bag into the machine, the popcorn popping and flying against the glass cover.
