Sort of sequel to "In The Blink Of An Eye", but can be viewed as a separate story. Either way works.
When you were murdered, you'd "woken up" later as a ghost. It'd taken a lot of time to get used to, especially since you could see your friends, but they couldn't see you.
Seeing Yata so upset and being unable to talk to him, to comfort him, was the worst part. Oh how badly you wanted to hold him and kiss him and tell him you loved him once more, but you couldn't. Not now.
Unknown to your clan, you were still hanging around. You'd visit the bar, watch them grieve and try to move on from your death, and then you'd lay next to Yata all day and all night as he locked himself in his room and cried. You'd wrapped your arms around him many times, but he never could feel it.
When Tatara was shot, you were right there on the roof with them, watching in horror as he died in Yata's arms. While Izumo grabbed the camera with determination in his eyes, and while Yata cried over Tatara's body, you'd felt a pressure on your shoulder and turned around, having come face to face with a confused Tatara. He was a ghost too, just like you.
After you'd screamed and wrapped your arms around him, sobbing into his neck about how sorry you were and how much you missed him, you'd explained the situation to him. He took it surprisingly well, giving a sad smile as you both watched over the scene before you.
"They'll be alright." Tatara had whispered knowingly, though his eyes were sad. You just hide your face in his shoulder.
You both knew it had been coming for a while, so when Mikoto showed up, you were both waiting for him with open arms.
The three of you hung around for a while longer, something preventing you all from moving on. And then came the day that Anna was kidnapped and had the dream, allowing her to visit all of you. You, Tatara and Mikoto watched with proud eyes as Anna took her place as the new Red King.
But the second she did, you all felt the pull.
It was time to go. To really go.
You don't know how you knew, but all three of you knew that the time had come and you would finally be free.
You didn't want to roam earth forever and never be able to do anything but be dead, but you didn't want to go either. You didn't want to leave Yata. You didn't want to leave your family.
Currently, you stood outside of the apartment you had shared with Yata, looking up at it with tears in your eyes.
A hand came down on your shoulder and you glanced back to see Tatara giving you a small smile. He was giving you an encouraging look. Mikoto was standing next to him and glanced at you, catching your eyes.
"Go see him," He said, then casually glanced in the other direction. That was all you needed.
In seconds you were inside the apartment, looking down at Yata as he laid in the bed, staring at nothing. He was laying on your side, hands clutching the pillow tightly. You sighed, moving over to the side of the bed and laying down so that you were facing him.
He wasn't wearing his white shirt, only in his black under top and shorts. You reached out and ran your hand down his bare arm, like you used to in the mornings back when you were alive. Glancing at the clock, you saw that it was 3:00 am.
Yata twitched, releasing the pillow to rub his arm like something had been tickling it. You quickly retracted your hand in shock. Had he felt that?
