Y/N eyes shot open - revealing their newly changed colour - as her palms started to glow yellow, matching the colour in her eyes. Her hands were covered in yellow smoke the longer she was using her powers.
A series of gasps travelled through the crowd of pirates as they all saw the yellow glow and smoke being produced by Y/N. They slowly lowered their swords as they all looked at her in awe. They've never seen anything like this. They've never seen any real powers or magic like this before. How was she even doing that? The barrier prevented all types of magic. Nothing works here.
"Duck," Y/N said softly, so that the VKs were the only ones who could hear her.
As they did what Y/N told them she released her power from her body, letting it leave through her upper chest as it circled to her back, creating a full circle. As the power left her body it pushed the pirates a few meters away from her friends, some fell into the water, another went through ladders and other things that were made out of weak breakable materials.
"What are you guys doing!? Get them!" Kian yelled as he stood up grabbing his sword in the process. He pointed his sword at Y/N before he started running towards her, a scowl on his face.
The pirates shook themselves out of their daze before letting out a warcry and charged at the VKs once again.
As Y/N started using her powers to protect her friends, "Jay, go start the car," she said as she used the powers to push a pirate back. "The rest of you follow him," she kicked a pirate before punching him in his stomach.
Jay looked at Y/N in disbelief, "What? No! I'm not gonna leave you here alone!"
Y/N sighed. She didn't want to do this the hard way. She just wanted them to go back to the limo without putting up a fight. But of course not, they were all too stubborn. Every single one of them.
Nakoa placed a hand on Jay's shoulder, "Jay, this is Y/N's specialty. This is what she does, it's what she's been training for." Nakoa looked over at the girl as she saw her fighting. Fighting for her friends' safety, for Auradon's safety. A smile formed on his face, "She's gonna be fine, I swear."
Jay didn't look at him, he was too busy focusing on Y/N. He couldn't leave her by herself like this. Fighting against a whole army of pirates who just keep on coming. He refused to let her go again. The last time he did that she was kidnapped and the time before that she returned to the Isle.
Before Jay had time to protest, he felt himself being lifted into the air by someone- no, something. As he looked around he noticed that all the VKs - including Lonnie, Nakoa and Ben - were also levitating. Jay looked at his limbs and noticed a yellow smoke was under them, supporting his body weight. The same smoke was under everyone else as well.
Ben recognized this feeling, he felt it during the coronation when Y/N levitated him to avoid a hole in the ground from the skeletons. He looked over at Y/N and saw that one of her arms was placed behind her and directed towards the group while the other was in front of her fighting off the pirates. Her face held nothing but concentration as she focused on fighting and protecting the people she cares about.
"Y/N! What are you doing?" Jay yelled as he tried to fight against Y/N's powers or whatever they're called. Jay started thrashing his limbs around his body squirming in every direction looking like a fish out of water.
"Protecting you," Y/N responded before floating her friends towards the tunnel.
Y/N filled them in one at a time, Jay and Nakoa were the last ones to go. As she placed her friends down they all ran through the tunnel telling her a simple 'Thank you' or a 'Good luck', but two of them didn't move at first they stood there and watched her. She already knew who those two people were; Jay and Nakoa.
