Jealousy- Rafe

Rafe took a swig of his beer as he watched John B attempt to flirt with Kelsey.
Anger boiled up inside of him, he didn't know why he felt this way. It wasn't like she was his girlfriend.
His eyes narrowed as John B slung an arm around the girls shoulder, pressing a kiss to the side of her head.
Rafe threw his drink to the sand and stormed off, he couldn't watch this any longer.

"Hey Kels do you need a refill?" John B asked
Kelsey glanced down at her cup and realised it was almost empty.
"That'd be great thanks." She smiled
He gave her a bright smile back and he left to get her another drink.
Kelsey pulled out her phone and started snapping some people back before she felt a presence behind her.
"Looks like you're having fun. With your boyfriend and all."
Kelsey turned and frowned at Rafe.
"I don't know what you're talking about. As far as I know I don't have a boyfriend." She sassed
Rafe rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his hair.
"Yeah. Whatever. Have fun with John B." He spat, storming off across the beach to his group of kook friends.
Kelsey raised her eyebrow in confusion but shook the interaction off.
She never had much to do with Rafe, she'd known him since she was 9 when Sarah and her had first become best friends. She sees him around when she goes to their house to see Sarah, but he never makes much of an effort with her.

John B came over with a drink in his hand and JJ by his side.
"What was that all about?" JJ questioned
Kelsey shrugged and took the cup from John B's hand.
"I honestly have no clue."
John B once again slung an arm around her shoulder and nudged her side.
"Don't let Rafe Cameron ruin the night. Just forget about him."
Kelsey nodded and took a sip from her cup, staring at Rafe from a distance.
He stood with his arms crossed firmly across his chest, his jaw was tensed and his fists balled.
Kelsey sighed and started listening in on her friends conversation.

"Kels! Dance with me!" John B exclaimed excitedly
Kelsey laughed and grabbed hold of his hand, letting him drag her into the crowd of people around the fire dancing to the loud music.
John B twirled her around making her giggle, they danced stupidly for what seemed like forever.
As John B pulled her into his chest after twirling her around once again he was ripped away from her.
"What the fuck man?!" John B yelled
Rafe gripped Kelsey's wrist and pulled her down the beach, leaving her friends confused and slightly mad.
"Rafe what are you doing?" Kelsey exclaimed
Rafe simply ignored her, his jaw clenching angrily every few moments.
"RAFE!" Kelsey stood her ground and pulled her wrist from his grip.
Rafe turned to face her, running a hand through his hair.
"Why?" He asked
"Why what?" Kelsey asked confusingly
"Why John B?! What does he have? What's so appealing about him?!" Rafe blurted
Kelsey frowned and watched carefully as Rafe pulled and tugged at his hair frustratingly.
"There's nothing going on with me and JB." She whispered
Rafe's blue eyes met with her brown ones, so many emotions swirling around them.
"Then what the fuck was tha-"
"Rafe. I don't like John B in that way. He's like a brother to me. And for the record he likes your sister." Kelsey spoke
Rafe's head hung low as he started to fiddle with his rings.
"Now can you tell me why?" She asked
Rafe sighed, "I- I like you Kels. I know I can be a dick to you and you're friends but you just make me feel things I've never felt before. And I can't help but get jealous when you're with John B and JJ and fuck even Pope." He admitted
Kelseys eyes widened, well she never expected that to come out of his mouth.
"At first I just seen you as my sisters best friend, but then you started coming around more and I began to notice every little detail about you...like how you're eyes glisten when you're happy, the way you slightly stick you're tongue out of the corner of you're mouth when you concentrate, when you're nervous you play with the charm on you're necklace and how you put everyone's feelings and needs before yours. I've liked you for a long time, but I've only just realised how much I like you and I don't know what I'd do without you by my side." Rafe admitted

Kelsey had no words. For once she was speechless.
She never thought Rafe Cameron would be spilling his feelings to her, about how much he likes her. She never thought this day would happen.
"Say something. Please." Rafe pleaded
Kelsey bit her lip, contemplating on what to do.
Rafe sighed and rubbed his eyes sadly.
"It's ok. I- I get it you don't feel-"
Kelsey quickly cut him off by slamming her lips to his, she could taste the alcohol on his breath as he pulled her closer to him, not allowing either of them to break apart from their passionate kiss.
Kelsey finally pulled away slowly, leaning her forehead against Rafe's.
"I like you too." She smiled
A huge grin broke across Rafe's face.
"Sooo you don't like John B?" He teased
Kelsey laughed and gave him another quick yet passionate kiss.
"Nope, but I do like this boy who can be a bit jealous of my male friends. But don't tell him that I think it's hot." She joked
Rafe smirked and picked her up, spinning her around in a circle as she giggled hysterically.
"Be mine?" He asked putting her down.
"Of course."
