Bet-JJ

Aaliyah and JJ had been together for a few months now, and it had been the best few months of her life.
Especially last night, they finally slept with each other and needless to say it was amazing. Sure they both had sex with other people before but it was different with JJ because well- she loved him.

The sun beamed brightly through the window, waking Aaliyah from her peaceful slumber.
The events of last night filled her head and she smiled to herself. She turned to her side expecting to see JJ but she was surprised to see an empty right side of the bed.
Her eyebrows knitted together in confusion as she pushed the sheets off of her body. She changed into a pair of shorts and one of JJ's hoodies. She opened the door quietly and stepped out, she heard a few voices talking on the porch.
"So how'd it go?"
"Dude- don't even ask me."
Aaliyah stopped in her tracks as she eavesdropped on JJ's conversation with John B.
"How long are you keeping this up for? I feel like shit keeping this from Lia- she's my best friend."
"I don't know man, I'll break it off later. She's getting too clingy and boring anyway."

Aaliyah's breath caught in her throat.
No. No. She refused to believe what she was hearing.
Tears welled up in her eyes. She could practically feel her heart shattering into a million pieces.
"The only good thing coming out of this whole thing was the sex." JJ laughed
"That's not funny JJ." John B scolded
"I can't believe you even listened to Kelce. He's a kook- I never thought you'd be this stupid. Making a bet on Lia like what the fuck man!"

Aaliyah's eyes widened. He made a bet.
All of this was a lie. A game. All for what? A few bucks of a kook?!
She decided she had heard enough, she rushed back into the bedroom grabbing all her things and stuffing them in her bag. She unlocked her phone and dialled the first person who came to mind.
"Hello?"
"Sarah!" Aaliyah sobbed
"Omg! Lia! What happened? Are you ok?!"
"N-no c-can you p-pick me up?"
"Of course! Where are you?!"
"The chateau."

Within 10 minutes Aaliyah heard Sarah's car pull up on the dirt road. She slung her bag over her shoulder and wiped her eyes. She ran out the door, passing a very confused JJ and John B.
"BABY! WHERE ARE YOU GOING!" JJ yelled
Aaliyah opened the car door and turned to JJ giving him the middle finger.
"WE'RE OVER JJ MAYBANK! TAKE YOUR FUCKING BET AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS! I HATE YOU!"
JJ's eyes widened as he came to realisation of what she meant.
His heart dropped in his chest and he stumbled down the stairs, racing towards Sarah's car.
"Baby no! Let me explain please!"
Aaliyah quickly got in the car and told Sarah to drive.
Without another word she took off, leaving JJ trying his hardest to keep up.

Aaliyah watched his figure in the side view mirror, slowly disappearing in the distance.
JJ fell to his knees and broke down into tears.
"AALIYAH!" He yelled out
It was too late- he lost her. The one person who loved him. The one person he truly loved. His everything.

"What happened?!" Sarah asked frantically
Aaliyah let out a quiet sob as she began to cry again.
"We did it- last night." She whispered
Sarah pulled over onto the side of the road and gave Aaliyah a confused look.
"But this morning I overheard him and John B talking, and turns out I was just a bet between him and Kelce."
Sarah gasped and wasted no time in wrapping the girl in her embrace.
"I loved him Sarah." Aaliyah sobbed
"I know- I know hun." Sarah mumbled against her hair.

A million emotions filled Aaliyah, it felt like they were suffocating her- as if she was drowning.
She felt betrayed, hurt, embarrassed, upset, angry...heartbroken.
All her energy had been sucked out of her from crying so much.
It was like she ran out of tears to cry.
Her phone vibrated for the 30th time in a matter of 5 minutes.

Aaliyah sighed as she turned off her phone and threw it onto the bedside table.
Sarah walked into her room with a sympathetic smile.
"Kie's here-"
"LIA!" Sarah was cut off by Kiara's loud voice echoing throughout the house.
Kiara appeared at the door and instantly ran to Aaliyah, giving her a much needed bear hug.
"I'm so so sorry."
"It's not your fault. Some things we just can't control I guess." She shrugged
"I'll fucking kill him! He had no right doing what he did." Kiara hissed
Sarah took a seat on the opposite side of Aaliyah and stroked her hair.
"I really thought he loved me-" Aaliyah choked
"He does- you can tell. He's never been this way before. I honestly don't know what possessed him to do something this." Kiara muttered
Aaliyah scoffed, "you don't do something like this to someone you love."
The two girls nodded in agreement, Sarah raised her eyebrow at Kie giving her a signal to talk to JJ.
Kie luckily got to message and cleared her throat.
"How about I get dinner and some snacks? We can all watch a movie."
Aaliyah nodded, "that sounds great- thank you."
Kie smiled and gave Aaliyah one last hug before leaving to confront JJ.

JJ sat on the couch, pulling and tugging at his hair. Tears streamed down his face, he couldn't believe what he had done. There was no excuse. He just lost the best thing to ever happen to him.

The door to the chateau swung open, aggressively hitting the wall.
"YOU ABSOLUTE DICK JJ!" Kiara yelled
JJ looked at her, more tears falling.
"SHES A MESS! YOU BROKE HER! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED HER?!"
"I DO LOVE HER! I LOVE HER SO MUCH IT HURTS!" JJ stood up and defended himself.
"I know what I did was shitty and there's no excuse what so ever! But I made that bet before I knew her- before I fell in love with her. I made the bet when I was high and I didn't expect to fall head over heels for her. That's why I waited to make love to her! And yeah it wasn't just sex, it was meaningful and special to me! And I hate that she found out my past intentions! But believe me they're definitely not my intentions now!" JJ sobbed

Kiara gave him an emotionless look, she rolled her eyes and held the door open.
"I can't believe you JJ. Out of everyone I never thought you would do something so stupid!" Kiara stressed
"I know. I'll forever hate myself for what I've done." He muttered sadly
"I don't want you near her JJ-"
"WHAT!? But I have to see her-"
"No! She is heartbroken, she is a sobbing mess and I can't bare for her to feel anymore pain. So please stay away from her." Kiara exclaimed
JJ shook his head, "I need to explain, I have to apologise to her."
"Not today JJ."
Without another word Kiara turned on her heel and walked straight out the door, leaving JJ alone yet again- drowning in guilt and sadness.
I'll fix this. I can't lose her.
