"And how was your first day of school?" Ginnifer walked into the living room with four glasses of lemonade. 'It was quite nice! I have such a nice class.' Sam immediately said enthusiastically. 'That's good to hear. And you Zo? How was your first day?' Ginnifer looked at Zoey. Zoey shrugged. "I was alone all day."
'Didn't I already say I'm sorry? It makes sense that I want to take a break with my new friends. Tomorrow you will come and sit with us.' said Sam. "I don't have to sit with all your friends." Zoey replied sternly. "Then you should know for yourself." Sam said with a shrug.
"But weren't there other classmates?" asked Ginnifer. "They are all friends already. My class is very close.' replied Zoey. "Hmm, give it some time. Tomorrow is another day.' said Ginnifer. Zoey nodded.
"And how was your day Hugo?" Ginnifer looked questioningly at her youngest son. 'We went to play outside and I played in the sandbox with Max.' The toddler said enthusiastically. 'How nice! Have you made sandcastles?' asked Ginnifer. Hugo nodded. 'And pies. We went to give the sand pies to the teacher and she really liked them.' The boy beamed.
"I always did that in kindergarten." said Oliver. 'Have you received any orders from the teacher?' asked Ginnifer. Oliver nodded. 'Math and language.' he replied. 'Shall we make that right in a moment? Then you can play outside with the neighbours' children afterwards.' said Ginnifer. Oliver sighed. "Mom, I don't feel like that right now." he sighed. 'It has to be, Ol. If you don't make it, the teacher will kick my ass.' Ginnifer replied.
"Shall I help you otherwise?" Zoey suggested. 'Yes! Mama can Zoey help me?' Oliver looked pleadingly at his mother. 'Yeah, that's good. After we've had a drink in a bit, you can look at it together.' said Ginnifer. "Where is Daddy anyway?" asked Hugo. ' He has an interview for work so he is on the phone for a while.' Ginnifer told.
"I've finished my drink." Oliver set the empty glass on the table. "Very good Ol." Ginnifer complimented her son. 'I'm going to my room. That mathematician thought it would be nice to immediately assign a whole paragraph as homework.' sighed Sam. 'The sooner you finish it, the sooner you can enjoy the nice weather.' said Ginnifer. "Well.. Then I'll get to work, huh." Sam got up from the table and she left for her room.
"Shall we go too Zoey?" asked Oliver. 'Yes that's OK.' Zoey nodded. Oliver and Zoey rose from the table. 'Good luck.' Ginnifer said to Zoey and Oliver. 'I'm going to play too. Maybe Finn is home.' said Hugo. Ginnifer smiled. Hugo was good friends with the boy next door. The preschoolers had a great time playing together and Ginnifer loved seeing that.
'Alright my dear. Go quickly.' Ginnifer stood up and gave Hugo another kiss. Immediately after that Hugo ran away. Laughing, Ginnifer looked after her youngest son. The time flew by so quickly. Ginnifer cleaned up all the glasses and she put everything in the dishwasher.
"Where are all the children?" Josh walked into the kitchen. 'Well hello.' said Ginnifer. "Hi, where is everyone?" Josh asked again. "Hugo is with Finn, Sam is in her room and Zoey is helping Oliver with the math he learned from school." said Ginnifer. 'Love Zoe. Now we have some time for ourselves.' Josh wrapped his arms around Ginnifer and pulled the woman against him. "Josh, don't. The children will be coming in soon.' Ginnifer giggled. "That's okay, isn't it?" Josh pressed his lips to Ginnifer's.
"Ginny, do you have a..." Zoey walked into the kitchen. Josh and Ginnifer quickly withdrew. "Okay, I'll pretend I didn't see anything." Zoey rolled her eyes. Josh grinned. "What's up Zoey?" asked Ginnifer. "Do you have a pen for me?" the girl asked. 'Of course.' Ginnifer took a pen from the kitchen table and handed it to Zoey. 'Thank you.' Zoey took the pen and walked away.
Grinning, Josh looked after the girl. "Josh, don't laugh." Ginnifer poked Josh in the side. 'I am not laughing.' said Josh. 'Yes Yes. Come on, let's go for a walk outside. We now have some rest..'
