After a fantastic weekend, Josh, Ginnifer, Sam and Zoey were back home. Oliver, Hugo and Digby had also returned home after a weekend with grandparents.
It was Monday morning and that meant it was a normal school day again. At seven o'clock in the morning the family was already having breakfast. They ate leisurely and then Ginnifer took the boys to school. Sam and Zoey had to go by bike.
"Do you have everything?" asked Josh. Zoey and Sam nodded. They both started today at half past eight. "What time are you home?" Josh looked at the two questioningly. "I'll be ready at half past one." said Zoey. "And me at a quarter past twelve, but I'll probably still go see Niall." Sam replied. "To Niall?" Josh frowned. 'No worries. It's for a school assignment. We are doing our history project together.' told Sam. 'Okay. Just send me a text that time.' said Josh. 'I will do.' Sam nodded.
"We have to go, Sam. Otherwise we'll be late.' said Zoey. 'Yes indeed. Bye Josh! Till this afternoon.' Sam and Zoey said goodbye to Josh and they left for school. Smiling, Josh looked after the two girls. He'd had a fantastic weekend with Colin and Sam and he was glad it did Sam so well. Zoey looked much happier too, and Josh hoped it stayed that way.
"Hey, are Zoey and Sam off to school yet?" Ginnifer walked into the living room. 'Yes!' Josh nodded. 'Beautiful! I'm going to see Lana in a minute. I agreed to have coffee with her. I'll take Digby with me.' said Ginnifer. 'Cozy! That was a while ago too.' Josh noted. Ginnifer nodded. "Lana's been so busy these past few months and she finally had time to catch up." Ginnifer told her husband. "Nice sweetie." Josh smiled.
"What are you going to do today?" asked Ginnifer. 'To the gym.' Josh replied with a serious face. 'The gym?' Ginnifer gasped. 'What?' Josh couldn't understand why Ginnifer was laughing so hard. "You haven't been to the gym in months. What do you want to do there?' she asked with a laugh. 'Sports, of course. Duh!' Josh replied. Ginnifer chuckled. "I'll go see Lana."
Give her my regards for me.' said Josh. 'I will do.' Ginnifer gave Josh a kiss and then she tied Digby on the leash. "I'll be home before lunch." She said. 'Alright my dear!' Josh said goodbye to Ginnifer and the woman left for Lana with the dog.
Josh had plopped down on the couch and turned on the television. He didn't feel like going to the gym anymore. Interested, Josh was watching a documentary when suddenly the doorbell rang. Josh sighed and paused the documentary.
Josh walked to the door. He opened the door and Dylan was standing in the doorway. "Hello, my name is Dylan. I'm here for Sam.' said the boy. "Sam is at school." Josh replied. 'Oh.' Dylan replied. "Does Sam know you're coming?" Josh looked at the boy inquiringly. Dylan shook his head. 'It is a surprise.' Josh felt sorry for the boy. 'Come on in.' Josh stepped aside so Dylan could enter.
'Would you like to drink something?' asked Josh. 'Gladly.' Dylan nodded. Josh walked into the kitchen and poured Dylan a drink. "Sam is out at a quarter past twelve." Josh told the boy. Dylan looked at his watch. That was in about an hour. "Do you think she likes it when I surprise her at school?" Dylan looked questioningly at the man. Josh thought for a moment. "I think she likes that." he nodded. "Would you mind if I went to Sam's school then?" He looked questioningly at Josh.
"Of course boy." Josh nodded. "Do you have an address for me to go to?" Dylan looked uncertainly at Josh. 'Of course. Give me your phone.' Josh nodded. Dylan handed his phone to Josh and Josh typed in the address on Google maps. 'Thanks Josh! Then I'll go. Thanks again for the drink.' Dylan looked at Josh kindly. "You're welcome, boy."
Josh let Dylan out and Dylan left for Sam and Zoey's school.
