Draco's POV
I woke up and the first thing I saw was Tammy's face. She was asleep and her arms were wrapped around me. And my arms were around her.
She felt so warm next to me. I loved the closeness; her touch was driving me crazy.
I looked over her head and saw that we had missed dinner. It was now 2 in the morning.
I was about to push away from her, when her arms tightened around me. For a second I thought she was awake, but her eyes were still closed as she tried to snuggle closer into me.
So I just decided to stay with her. I closed my eyes and drifted off into sleep with a huge grin on my face.
LATER
When I woke up, my arms were empty, the sun was shining on my face, and the water was running in the bathroom.
I sat up, stretched, yawned, and scratched my head. I looked at the time; it was 6'o clock.
I stood up and I heard the water shut off. I decided to wait for her, so I sat back down and waited for her to come out. I had gotten the best night's I had gotten in weeks, maybe months.
A few minutes passed, the door opened and she walked out drying her hair. She looked amazing in her clothes. Totally casual, but they suited her well. A black tee falling loosely around her and baggy jeans. She looked adorable.
She saw me and smiled. "Hey, sleepyhead," she said as she finished drying her hair. "You slept for like, ever."
"Yea, and I feel super rested," I said as I rubbed my neck and yawned.
"What were you doing in my room anyway?" she said as she threw her towel on the ground and grabbed socks out of her drawer.
"I was waiting for you," I said as she sat next to me and started to put her socks on.
"When did you even come in?" she said. "I came into my room and you were passed out on my bed."
"Uh, I can't remember," I said, because I seriously couldn't remember. These past few days, the exact time was the least of my concern. I just had to pay attention to the days.
"Hmph," she said. "You seriously need to sleep more. Who knows what you do at night?" she said as she got up and walked to her closet.
I panicked for a second. "You don't know what I do at night," I said trying to keep from sounding nervous.
"I know," she said, "that's why I said, who knows?" She pulled a pair of bright red converse out of her closet and came back to sit down on the bed.
"Oh, um, yea," I said, feeling like a complete idiot.
"I mean," she started again, "you could always tell me you know. I am concerned about you, Draco."
Now I really felt like shit. I was about to say something, but she started again.
"But if you don't want to I totally understand," she said as she finished with her shoes and looked at me. "As long as you're not keeping secrets from me."
CRAP!!!
These past couple of weeks have been nothing but secrets that I've kept from her. I hope she never finds out, but if she does then I hope she understands.
I looked down at my feet. "I should probably go and get ready," I said as I stood up and headed toward the door. "Thanks for letting me crash here last night."
I almost made it to the door, when I felt her hand grab my left wrist. Pain shot through it like electricity. I winced at the pain. She must have seen it because she loosened up, and when she did the pain loosened to, but I could still feel it linger.
"Sorry," she whispered. "But Draco, never ever lie to me, and never keep secrets from me," she said and she let my wrist go and I walked out of her room.
When I was safely in my room I pulled my sleeve up and looked at the horrid thing that was all I had left. It didn't move, but I knew better than to think it was just a trick of the mind. Under the ink of the mark, under the skin it was laid on, under the nerves, and into my bones, I could feel HIM and he was not happy.
I pulled my sleeve down and leaned against the door. I sighed and let myself sink to the floor. I put my head in my hands and started to cry.
I couldn't do this; I couldn't do it to save my life. But I had to, before I lost everything that meant anything in my life. And that would include Tammy, the one I've been lying to for weeks.
