Sublimation — the healthiest way to cope.

I am not sure if I take this compliment, or take it as an insult. My young mind would marvel at this notion, because at least the pain, the frustration, and all the anger I had for the world is turned into a spectacle. Yet, how can pain be spectacular when all it did was torment and took away even the last thread of life I had for myself?

How ironic it is to be grateful and at the same time hateful to the only thing that allowed me expression; the only thing that kept me grounded and redirected.

And so, after many years of transforming pain into poetry, I am able to create a beautiful collection of art which I hope can be helpful to those who have made time to read it. With gratitude in my heart, I sincerely hope that while reading the whole collection, you found a piece that speaks your own story. May you have found the piece that allowed you to express yourself, and hopefully the courage to finally bring these shadows to the light. Thank you so much and I genuinely hope that just like me, you will find an outlet where you can healthily express yourself.

This is the Shadows Poetry Collection on its last page telling you to live life and keep growing. There may be many things you do not wish to tell the world, but there are many ways to communicate it. May you always have the courage to always slay and keep your heart strong.

Take care and fill yourself with the love it deserves. You will find it in other people's affection but the best love is the love you give to yourself. (#)
