Tasting blood in her mouth, Ming shifted her teeth to bite another part of her bottom lip. Nerves were taking over her, and for each passing second, the butterflies in her stomach just kept multiplying. Ming cursed under her breath, to hell if she burst into a whole anxiety attack right now.

She had every right to be nervous. After receiving that call from Eva, hearing Eva's last words, Ming couldn't wait to get back home. She anticipated what Eva had to tell her, worries filling her; will this be their last moment together?

"Ming," Taylor piped up from the driver's seat, "You've reached. I will leave now."

Ming nodded as she got out of the car. She watched as Taylor drove off, part of her wishing she could chase after the car and not have this talk with Eva. But she took a deep breath, knowing there was no turning back now, and walked up to the front door and knocked.

As the door clicked open, Ming expected to see a somewhat furious Eva. But to Ming's surprise, she was met with Eva's warm smile and open arms.

"Welcome home, Ming."

Ming hesitated before she stepped into Eva's arms, wrapping her large body frame around Eva's petite one. She breathed in Eva's scent, smells of honey and flowers assaulted her nostrils and she sighed in comfort.

Breaking away, Eva looked up at Ming with shy eyes. "Um, I made tea. We should go talk," Eva mumbled, pointing to the kitchen. Ming went obediently, taking a seat on a chair and watching as Eva took the seat opposite hers.

They were silent, awkward too, as Eva reached forward to pour both of them some tea. Sitting back into her chair, Eva took a deep breath before relaying the speech she had planned before Ming got here.

"So um," she stuttered shyly, "I saw the video, and obviously I assumed the worst of you. But José had called and told me that your drink was spiked. I was relieved to know you weren't cheating on me, but I want to hear the full story from you."

Eva glanced up at Ming as she chewed on her lip. She didn't know why she was so nervous, this was Ming she was talking to. The Ming that loved her, whom was kind at heart, and let her into the stone cold heart surrounded by brick walls. There was no need to be nervous when talking to Ming, Eva tried to reassure herself.

Ming took a sip of her tea, feeling the heat of the drink burn her tongue, relaxing her a little. Her mother had a knack of drinking tea when she was stressed, Taylor had told Ming before. As the warm tea travelled down her throat, and down to her stomach, the nerves that built up in Ming previously edged away.

"In Egypt, I killed Bernard. But it turns out he had a cousin working for the Corgis, his cousin's name is Hernandez. Bernard ordered for Hernandez to seek revenge for him, by blackmailing a servant girl into spiking my drink and having sex with me. Hernandez edited the sex tape, making sure all that was produced was my moans at the girl's touch."

"But I assure you, I never felt pleasure at her touch, my head hurt at that point, I was groaning in pain," Ming said, feeling like she had to confirm that fact with Eva.

Eva leaned forward and took Ming's hands in hers. She was relieved to hear that Ming told her the truth, so she praised, "Thank you Ming. You're getting better at this communication thing."

Ming laughed, her eyes going soft as she stared into Eva's eyes. "I'm sorry if that video ever made you upset when you watched it. I was so anxious that you would never want to speak to me again because of it. I was afraid you would think I was unfaithful to you."

Across her, Eva smiled and shook her head. "Ming, this is the thing about relationships. You don't assume, you communicate. You talk about the smallest things ever, to big, serious matters like this," Eva explained, her voice was gentle and warm.
