She showed me to my room that I immediately went to and hid. I had no idea what was going on. I wish I knew. "Dad?" I called out... Hoping this was just a dream... It was not.
"Boy Reid... You ok?" I stayed hidden and silently sobbed as my makeup ran. "We have dinner ready..."
"No! Leave me alone!" I yelled.
"Ok..." The woman said. "If you need us... we're outside!"
I opened the door and proceeded to yell; "NO. LEAVE ME ALONE! I DIDN'T ASK TO COME WITH YOU DID I?!"
"Calm down." I slammed the door in her face. "I'll leave you for a bit... I'll leave this outside." I heard a clucking as she put something on the floor and walked away.
"What is that?" I looked outside my door checking shes gone and looked down. It was a chicken. "Ok." I bought it into my room and hugged it. "You can be my only friend right?" I looked in my bag and saw Ash had put a photo of me and him in there in a pretty frame. I shed a small tear. "Ash..." I hugged it and the chicken with all my might. My 6 year old body just shivering with fright.
