 LORENZO BERKSHIRE

I woke before Eloise did, one of her arms draped over the edge, being a complete bed hog.

But I would rather sleep squashed to the side than sleep in a bed incomplete without her.

I'll do anything it takes to make her mine. Like she said, I'll work for it.

I look at the clock above Lucille's empty bed and notice the time reaching 9am already. I needed time to prepare for our date but I didn't want to leave without telling her.

"Oise," I whispered, moving her hair out of her face.

"Too early," She groaned, making me laugh.

"I've got to go sort out a few things for our date but will you be up and ready by 12.30 if I go now?" I questioned.

"Yes, I'll get up soon," She muttered, her eyes remaining shut.

"I'll see you later, love," I whispered, kissing her cheek.

I slowly crept out of the room, returning to my own to shower and get ready for the day.

--

After spending a couple of hours running between Hogsmeade and The Great Hall, I was ready to  see Eloise.

I returned to her room, knocking until I heard a reply.

"Come in," She shouted.

I opened the door and watch and she brushes her hair infront of her mirror. She was so effortlessly beautiful and I don't think she'll ever know how truly remarkable she is.

"You look gorgeous," I grinned, wrapping my arms around her and kissing her cheek.

"So where are we going?" She smiled with excitement.

"Ah, ah. You will see. Are you hungry?" I asked.

"Starving," She groaned. "Well, I'm ready to leave".

I wrap my arm around her waist, "We'll apparate because my legs need a break from walking".

"Ok," She smiled.

We spin through the air, arriving in front of the Black Lake. The sun was shining, the skies were and blue and I had Eloise with me, so everything was perfect.

I lead her to the picnic I had set up, the basket filled with all her favourite foods and drinks and a blanket sprawled across the floor.

"If magic rules weren't so strict as of right now, I would've apparated us to a much more interesting place," I told her.

"This is perfect, Enzo. I love it," She grinned.

I fetched a goblet and filled it with a muggle drink I had heard of from Lucille called a 'Mimosa', which simply was just champage and orange juice.

We sat in silence for a few moments, before Eloise broke it.

"I know we are both scared," Eloise spoke.

"Scared?"

"Scared to ruin our friendship, that's why we keep pushing each other away," She muttered.

"I don't want to be scared. There is no one else in this world who I care about more than you," I sighed, rubbing my thumb against her hand.

"Let's promise each other that no matter what happens, we'll always remain friends," Eloise smiled.

"You could never just be a friend to me," I sighed.

"I meant that we will always be there for each other," She responded.

"I don't even need to be reassured of that. You are my person, Oise. Always have been, always will be".
