EVIDENCE

"My Queen! There are trespassers in the garden maze. I believe they have stolen something valuable of yours from the vault. One of them is Regina and another is a peasant man." The knave of hearts informs us.

"Evidence go with a few guards and find out where they went. Than bring them to me by whatever means necessary." My mother says whispering through horn to my ear.

"Yes, my Queen. You lot follow me!" I order as I walk away towards the exit of the deadly maze.

When I no longer see them at the maze I walk down the path to where the looking glass is located.

From a distance I see Regina holding hand with her father and walking through the looking glass leaving the peasant man behind.

As we approach from behind the man who stares at the closed portal shocked, I smile. Regina still knows the value of family and that makes me happy. I hope she stays that way.

"Take him to the Queen!" I say clapping my hands as if to signify the importance of my order.

The gaurds drag the prisoner back to the feet of my mothers throne. I take my place standing beside her and ready to listen to whatever orders she will give.

"Her majesty says she knows you're responsible for helping to steal from her." I say smirking.

"The Queen, she tricked me..." He says causing us all to gasp and my mother to slam her foot down angrily.

"That women's name is Regina. There is only one Queen. The Queen of Hearts." I tell him sternly.

"Yes, of course. My apologies. Now, please..." He starts to say but My mother whispers to me again, interrupting him.

"Her majesty wishes to know how you got to this world. How did you come to Wonderland?" I ask the man.

"If I tell you, will you let me go home to my daughter?" I shake my head laughing at his incompetence. He's lucky if my mother allows him to leave with his life.

"Off with his head." She whispers to me and I nod rolling my eyes and gesturing to the executioner to cut his head off. I can understand why she enjoys to see peoples reactions when their head has been cut off yet they are still alive.

"No." The man whispers as his head gets cut off and his lanky body falls to the ground lifeless. "I'm alive." he gasps looking down at his body with his eyes as a guard holds his head up at us by his hair. I wince, that has got to sting. "I'm alive!" He yells still partially confused.

"If you wish your body back, than answer. How did you get here?" I ask again, tilting my head to the side with a small smile.

"The hat. My hat. We used my hat." He says in panicked voice.

"Where is the hat now?" I ask still saying whatever my mother whispers through the horn into my ear.

"She took it. Regina." He says sadly.

"If all you require to travel to your homeland is this magic hat, than surely you can make another?" I reply a little too hopeful.

"I can't." He says desperate. I stare at him in confusion as if to say 'Why not?' "A hat without magic is just a hat. It won't work."

"Than there's your task. Get it to work." His face twitches in irritation.

My mother placed him in a secure building filled with hundreds of different kinds of fabrics and materials to make hats with. He's gone mad trying to make a magic hat to get back to the enchanted forest. Most of the guards call him the mad hatter.
