Finding Love

Chapter 22

Authors POV
((I might end up writing like this instead of POVs. I rp too much in 3rd person that this flows out of me easier. Sorry.))

Carrying one of her sister's dead gaurds through that portal into Wonderland was physically exhausing. Evi kinda wished Hook was with her to do all the heavy lifting. She was still having difficulty figuring out what she felt for him was love or something else like pure unadulterated lust for the pirate. Even so, she had a dark past and getting Hook let alone her father involved in it could create chaos. 

"It came from up here! Hey! It's the Princess and General. She's back!" A few guards from her mothers castle yelled walking up to her. "Have you come back to help, general? The Queen is under a sleeping spell, then there's both the red and White Queen that are using their forces to claim the land unless your mother or you show proof of existance!" He says trembling in fear. 

Evi couldn't tell why he was trembling in fear when the other two Queens were far kinder rulers then her mother ever was. Perhaps this man was content with being cruel, he was one of the higher ranking officials within the castle. She rolled her eyes at the stupidity of this man and the others staring at her as if she held all the answers. "Show me to where you're holding my mother. Then we'll talk about the current problems in society." 

They immediately agree and bring her to the Queen's chambers where her mother lie as if dead in bed. Evi sits down at the foot of the bed and laughs histerically. "I've finally met my father and I can understand why you kept me a secret from him. He's almost as bad and cruel as you, with one significant difference. He actually has a heart!" She hissed getting up to glare at her mothers passive sleeping face. "I cursed you because i wanted to be free of you. But I'll never be free of you because I'm exactly like you. Because of you I can't trust anyone or my heart because I'm afraid of how it may end for me. You wanted Regina to become you and become Queen like you never could but you didn't realize that you made her Queen and me with your deadly personality. Granted mine is a double personality with self conflicting issues but whatever. My point is we cursed each other through our unbalanced love for the wrong people or power." 

"You're right. Which is why I couldn't let you go. I knew if I set you free into the world you would be a wild card just as I was in your fathers plans. I wanted for you to have the life I wanted but never got until i was older. To appreciate the power and contentment of having money. I finally have a daughter that understands me but also disappoints me." Cora says sitting up in bed and staring at Evidence with annoyance and admiration. 

Evi gasped and backed away quickly so Cora wasn't anywhere close to her. She did not want her heart ripped out again.  "H-how are you awake?! I cursed you!" 

"Did you really think the sleeping curse would work on me? I don't have my heart inside my body. The heart is where curses tend to cling onto because it's the weakest organ. That's why true loves kiss is always the best counteractment of a curse. Honestly, I think thats the only good use for true love. Love is a weakness. I thought I taught you and Regina that. You are my weakness, Evi. I have never been able to let go of you but now I will." She said calmly walking up to Evi and caressing her daughters cheek with as much sentiment as she could give with literally no heart. 

"You don't care about me! You're only saying that because Regina's about to cast the curse and you know why I'm here. I'm here to kill you." Evidence says but not as confident as she once was. This was not going the way she planned.

Cora laughs. "You don't have it in you to kill me. None of my children do. Even your own father would rather hide behind someone else and make them kill me. Evi, you won't be leaving Wonderland." Cora says her face going from amusement to creepy calm.
