Evidence

"You called?" I ask him as I grind my teeth in anger. He holds my heart like it's nothing and it terrifies me that one day I'll mess up and he'll crush it. Life is a very precious thing in the world because it's impossible to bring anyone back from the dead. I know that because I tried everything to help my sister with Daniel.

Hook nods as he stares out into the horizen over the sea. "How is our new guest doing? I haven't heard anymore of her screams or banging." Oh shit, I forgot that the woman would be crying if she was actually here. I think any woman would cry if a pirate was holding them against their will. I would know.

"She's asleep. What do you plan to do with her?"

"Well, if your father shows little worry over her and refuses to hand over the dagger, I'll kill her." I tense up.

"What if he does the same to me? Will you kill me too? After all, dead men tell no tales. Right?" I glare at him causing him to laugh.

"I highly doubt he would do such a thing. If on the off chance your father does the same, I will find something he does want. You are too precious to be killed, Evi."

"Why do you have to kill him? You'll turn into a monster like he is if you become the darkone. I don't know if I'd want to be with a man like that. You're already dark enough as it is. To snuff out the rest of the light within yourself is a cruel fate. Can't you see you're saving him from enteral pain and anger if you kill him?" I whisper placing my hand on his.

"Because I have to protect you. I- I have to destroy the man that killed her and that could take you away from me. He's a monster but maybe because I'm already dark, I could control it better than he ever could." He struggles to say not able to look me in the eyes.

"I'll help you, but only if you stop treating me like an object and respect me as an equal. I agree, he is a monster but I want to be the one to kill him." I reply stoically.

"Sorry, luv. Your job is to be the leverage and that's it. Besides, I'm not sure I can trust you to kill him even if you wanted to. You've not only got one conscience but two." He whispers with a dark tone.

"Awe, yes. We haven't really talked about that, have we? Tell me, what did you think of my evil half?" I ask, genuinely curious about his opinion on the topic.

"I don't think she's really evil, luv. She just doesn't trust as easily as you do and she pushes people away. I'd say she's more your emotional wall then evil half. She's also a lot more flirtatious and pirate like. You are a princess with family issues and a big heart. I would however like to know who broke your heart when you were younger." He says calmly.

"If I tell you, would you promise to go after him instead of my father?" I ask in a hopeful tone.

"I'm sorry, luv. I think I would much rather kill your father and gain immortality and then kill whoever you wish."

"Let me out. I can convince him I'm on his side easy. You're merely begging. I can do better. Pleeeeease!" I scowl at the thought then sigh. Fine. But no telling father of our problem.

"Deal!" She squeals excitedly. I relax and let her take over.

EVELYN

"Then you must be a coward. As much as you want to deny it, you and my father are quite alike. Both got attached to the same women and always using others to get what you want without just facing the music and getting your own hands dirty." I smirk poking him in the chest.

"Evelyn, I presume. You're definitely going to piss me off. I could crush your heart right now, and you'd be dead."

"Pff, do it then. We both know you care to much for Evi and me. This body us quite enticing to you, is it not?" I whisper in his ear. He stiffens and backs away from me.

"Stop that. You're just trying to get me to let my guard down so you can get to your heart." He growls grabbing onto my arm tightly after putting my heart into a satchel. I hiss at him.

"And you aren't as stupid as I thought you were. I do find you attractive though. Tell me why I can't remember our previous conversation. Why did you wipe my memory?!"

"Because I didn't want you to know about it! End of discussion."

All of a sudden some of the pirates began to make music with their instruments. The rest start chanting for us to dance which I was really confused at. "Do they normally do this when there is a woman on board?"

"No, I have no clue where this came from. But would you care for a dance, luv?" He asks letting my arm go and offering me his hand and hook.

"I might as well since you're asking me." I reply and grab his hand then shoulder as we begin to waltz around the deck as his men stare at us with smiles. They never smile like that... what is wrong with them?

Hook spins me and I try to catch my breath as I stare up at his beautiful eyes. All at that moment nothing else matters but him and me. Was this what love felt like? No. That's not possible. Is it?

He moves his head down and kisses me on the lips softly. I respond in unison. He tasted like rum but I loved it. All I wanted was to keep kissing him and have him hold me close.

"Wooo!" I wake out of my trance to hear a bunch of cat calls and cheers from the pirates. I immediately push Hook away and take a few steps back to process what just happened.

"Evi-" He begins to say but I cut him off.

"It's Evelyn and I uh- appreciate the dance Captain. But I think I'll go lay down for bit. I'm feeling a bit dizzy after all that." I whisper and flee down to the captain's quarters where my father is sitting on the bed with a devilish grin on his face.

"Have fun? I tried to pick romantic music. There wasn't much to choose from on this blasted ship." He says as if annoyed by that. "Sailing songs are good but in no way romantic."

"W-what?" I scan the room and frowned hearing a bunch of thumping noises from the closet. "Seriously?! You took everyone's heart and ordered them to do all that?" I ask, completely baffled. He's like a romantic version of mother. No wonder they had a fling when they first met.

"Not everyone. I didn't do Smee because Hook might've suspected something with him. You didn't answer my question, have fun?" He grins and winks at me.

"W-why do you want me to fall for him? I thought you hated him as much as he hates you."

"Oh I do. I'm trying to get him to fall for you. I can tell you already love him. I am curious as to why you said you name was Evelyn though. I thought your name was Evidence." He says walking up to me.

"I like the name and I wanted to change it." He poofs right infront of me and grasps my chin in his hand.

"You're lying! Hmm, why are your eyes gray? They weren't like this earlier." Is that how Hook could tell it was me right away? Do my eyes change color when me and Evi switch control?

"My eyes change color. It's weird, I know." I say, technically not lying.

"Hmm, interesting. I think it's time we steal your heart back. Once we get your heart we can be free of the pirate. Then you will help me cast the curse." He said letting me go and snapping his fingers making the door swing open. "Shall we?"

"He'll make me fight to protect him against you." I reply bitterly.

"I highly doubt that. Now come on! You don't want to miss all the fun, do you?"
