Today I was heading out to a party. It was y/f/ns party, she invited me because I had just come out of a toxic relationship, me ex would never let me go out knowing there would be other boys there. Last month I found out he was seeing someone else so I called it quits and made him move out my house.

As I sat at my dressing table my phone rang, I saw it was y/f/n
*phone conversation*

y/n- hey girl what's up?

Y/f/n- hey girlie just calling to say look your best tonight

Y/n- I was planning on, what for anyway

Y/f/n- ohh nothing just that my cute friend is coming who's single like you and is the same age as you

(Laughing) Y/n- Y/f/n! I can't believe you, well maybe I'll speak to him

Y/f/n- I bet you will, anyway see you later

Y/n- byeeee

*call ended*

So she's trying to set me up with her friend that's cute, single and my age, yep sounds like y/f/n. Once I was finished with curling my hair I picked out a dress

As I put my heels on I saw the taxi pull up outside my flat so I grabbed my phone off the kitchen counter, locked the door and went out to my taxi. I told the driver the address which I was going and then I was on my way.

As the driver pulled up outside the house I payed and went inside,

"Y/n!!!! You look stunning" Y/f/n squealed and hugged me " come on in drinks are in the kitchen, there's a few people from college lurking about, oh! And the guy I told you about I think he's in the garden" she smirked and walked away

I had already been here about 45 minutes and I'd been speaking to a few people from college, I hadn't seen them since I got with my ex as he wouldn't let me go out much.

I made my way into the garden and spotted a few people I knew, but then I saw my boy best friend from college so I walked over to him and covered his eyes.

"Guess who" I said still covering his eyes

"No way, y/n?" He said surprised

"Yes! Zack it's amazing to see you" I said hugging him tightly

"So I guess you and he who must not be named aren't together anymore" he said putting his arm around my shoulders

"How did you know" I asked him

"Because you're here, you wouldn't be here if you was" he explained "anyway y/n this is my friend H.."
