~new girl in town~

Y/Ns POV

Sitting at my desk I straightened my long hair and applied light concealer to my face and mascara to my eyelashes

I looked into my mirror, straightened up my new blouse, tied my tie, rolled up my skirt and popped on my blazer ready to start a new school.

I picked up my black handbag and got in the car.

"But mam what if I don't make any friends" I said to my mum walking to the reception of my new school

"Y/n you'll be fine" she replied

"Hello, is this y/n?" We were greeted by a lady

"Yes" my mum replied

"Hi there y/n, I'm Mrs Fischer the headmistress, and today I'm going to take you to your form room but also introduce you to a buddy to make you feel welcome as a year 10 student" she smiled

"Thank you" I said

"Right ill pick you up at 3" my mum said rubbing my arm

"See you later" I replied following the headteacher through the corridors

It wasn't like my old school, I recently moved from Newcastle. I lived there with my dad, but he died about a month ago so I came to live with my mum in Kent.

My old school was an all girls school, and was only one floor accepting 20 girls a year. Safe to say it was a private school, and now I'm at public.

We approached what looked like the art classroom, Mrs Fischer knocked on the door

"Hi sir could I possibly borrow Tayleur for a second?" She asked

"Of course" I heard a man reply

Just then a girl about my height with wavy blonde hair walked out smiling

"Tauleur this is y/n, y/n this is tayleur your welcome buddy" Mrs Fischer smiled

"Hi y/n, would you like to sit with me at lunch?" She smiled

"I would thank you" I smiled back

"Right now this is your form room, your form tutor is Mr Evans and he teaches art. I'll leave you girls to it" Mrs Fischer smiled walking away

"Come on in y/n" tayleur said opening the door of the art room.

"Ah you must be y/n" mr evans said

"Yes is am" I replied stood next to tayleur

"Come over here" he said grabbing something from the printer "here is your timetable. And everyone this is y/n she has just moved here from Newcastle and will be joint our form, please make her feel welcome. And y/n grab a seat next to tayleur" he smiled

I went and sat next to my new friend tayleur putting my bag under the table and looking at my timetable

"Oh look we have the same lessons today, apart from drama I'll find someone in your drama for you to hang with" she smiled

"Thanks" I said back

"So tell me about yourself" she said

"Well I turned 15 in July, I love to sing, I moved from Newcastle and i have a sister who's 10 years older than me, she's called Collette" I smiled

"I love your accent" she said

"Thanks, I'm sure it'll fade after a while" I laughed

"er mr Cantwell can you leave your eyes to yourself please" mr evans said
