A/N - This girl was holding back a whole chapter of writing from you guys, though I'm not sure where it fits into my sister's story...

"Happy, hurry up! We've probably missed it already." I complained, opening up the door as soon as he slowed down.
"Hey, aren't you forgetting something?!" He lifted the giant cheque from the back seat.
"Nah, you've got it, besides, we both know you'll take any excuse to speak to May." I winked, before activating my suit and flying up to the roof, where a window remained propped open, one Peter would've slipped in through.

"Thank you for coming out to support those who have been displaced by the Blip. And, of course, thanks to our very own Spider-Man!" Shit. May was already closing up.
"Thank you, Miss Parker, for having me." I couldn't help but grin at his nerves, even in the suit, he was the same old Peter. "And thank you, you guys, for having me." I was too late.
"And thank you, Spider-Man. He'll be right back out to take photos and videos. Thank you!" I sighed, retreating back down to the back door, following Happy inside.

"Hey, sorry we're late." Happy apologised as we rushed inside.
"Happy. Hey." Peter's eyes showed the nerves, and I moved quickly, walking over and hugging him. "I'm sorry." It was a whisper, and he held me tighter, "there was a thing, and papers.."
"It's alright." We pulled away, now noticing the exchange between May and Happy.

"It's a new beard." May smiled.
"It's my My Blip beard. I grew it in the Blip. It's a Blip beard."
"Worked very hard on maintaining it." I teased.
"I see. Yeah." She let out a little laugh and I cleared my throat.
"Anyway," he got the hint, presenting the cheque, "The reason I'm late is because this was misplaced at the office. Can you believe it? Because it's enormous. Not the amount, the size. The amount's nice too. They're generous. Pepper Potts said, sorry she couldn't be here."happy apologised.
"Yeah. Thank you. I think I'm gonna go change the Sterno under the vegan lasagna. Spider-Man, go shake hands." May accepted the gift, before walking out.
"Will do." Peter did a little salute, and I nodded my goodbye.

As soon as May cleared the room, Peter turned on Happy, "What just happened?"
"Heads up, Nick Fury's calling you." Happy announced, avoiding the subject.
"Nick Fury's gonna call me?" Peter's eyes went wide.
"Well, both of you. Yeah." Happy shrugged, and I stated in shock.
"Why?" Peter continued to panic.
"Why? He probably has hero stuff for you to do. You're superheroes. He calls superheroes." Happy responded.
"And you're just telling me now?" I questioned.
"It skipped my mind." He clearly lied.
"Does Pepper know?" I asked.
"I don't know."
"If it was that important, he'd probably call someone else anyway, not us." Peter pointed out.

That's when Peter's phone began to buzz, and then, mine followed suit.

"Apparently not." Happy watched as I viewed the call.
"No caller ID. That's him." He confirmed.
"I don't wanna talk to Fury." Peter shook his head.
"Answer the phone." Happy demanded.
"Why?" Peter asked again as I debated it.
"If you don't talk to him, I have to, and I don't want to." Happy complained.
"Well why don't you wanna talk to him?" Peter asked.
"Because I'm scared. Answer the phone."
"Nah, be knows where to find me." I shrugged, hanging it up, Peter nodded, before holding up the phone and doing the same. "You sent Nick Fury to voicemail?" Happy looked between us.
"Yeah." Peter nodded.
"You don't send Fury to voicemail. I mean, I expect it from a stark, but you.."
"Hear that? They're calling me. I gotta go." Peter began to back away.
"You gotta talk to him." Happy argued.
"I'm gonna call him. I promise you, I'm gonna call him. I will." He continued backing away.
"You do not ghost Nick Fury." Happy warned.
"I promise you, I'll call him."

"Yeah, hi No, no, he's not ghosting you." I smirked as Happy answered the phone, before noticing the phone Peter had forgotten to replace, picking it up and packing it into his bag for him. Then I noticed the small photo tucked in the side pocket, it was my favourite of him and my dad and I. I couldn't help but let out a small sigh, running a finger over it, before placing it back and zipping up the bag again. "No, she's gonna call you, just..." I reached out my hand, and Happy handed me his phone.
"Fury, it's me, I'm still dealing with the whole dead dad thing, so forgive me, but I'm not taking calls right now. Okay? Bye." I didn't wait for a response, hanging up the phone, before turning at the sound of Peter's panic.
"He's not gonna let you get away with that." Happy warned.
"I..whatever." I activated my suit, quickly playing some music, rising up and then landing between Peter and the press.

"Moonshine! Are you the head avenger?"
"As of current, there is no head avenger." I responded, fist closing as I tried to remain calm.
"If the aliens come back, what will you two do?"
Just on cue, Tuesday began to flash, and I took a shaky breath.
"I apologise, but there is an urgent matter that we need to see to, no more questions." I flew up, and Peter followed, the two of us rushing away from the press, settling on the roof.

"Are you okay?" I drew back my suit, and Peter let his mask go, eyes slightly red as he held back tears. His phone buzzed again, and he reached into his bag, pulling it out, immediately hanging up. "I can block him from reaching your pho.."
"No, it'...it's fine." He cut me off, and I sat down, letting out a small sigh and accepting the arm he wrapped around my shoulders, leaning into him, just as my eyes landed on a mural ahead. "No."
"What i.." Peter fell silent as he spotted it too, and soon my mind was filled with images of my father's charred body. "I don't know if I can keep doing all this."
"Then don't. Come on my trip, you are technically a student."
"I'm not, we've discussed this, Peter. I have too much going on to relearn things I already know, as much as I miss hanging out with the gang." I sighed.
"Thank you, by the way, for coming in."
"I couldn't leave you to the wolves like that."
"No, it's your father, I should be caring for you."
"Exactly, Peter, he was my father. I'm a stark, I'm built for losing family and being thrown into the spotlight straight afterwards, you, are not."
"It's not fair, you shouldn't have to go through all that."
"And you shouldn't have been there, but you were, a spider chose you and now we're here. But we're here together."
"I love you, Riley."
"I love you too, Parker."

We sat for a moment in silence, my eyes locked onto the mural ahead, and I let out a small sigh, finally pulling away. "You need to get home and pack for your trip," I gently pushed him away further.
"You're sure you don't want to come?"
"I'm sure. I have
