I sat up in shock, wincing as pain shot through my shoulder. What happened? I noticed I was back home, in the facility. However I wasn't in my bed, I was in the medical wing, specifically Banner's medical lab. "Bruce!" I called out, hearing papers being shuffled around the corner. His head soon peered around the wall, upon seeing me awake, he came over.

"You shouldn't be sitting up, your shoulder was hit pretty bad." He informed, examining the stitches on the wound. "Well you did a good job, all I feel is slight stinging and the type of ache you get from a bruise."I told him with a smile. "At least you feel alright. I better call your dad, he's been driving himself crazy waiting for you to wake up." Bruce stated walking away with his phone. That left me wondering, how long was I actually out?

"Riley!" I snapped out of my thought when my dad hugged me, I winced. "Healing shoulder, healing shoulder." I reminded making him laugh. "Humour? After being attacked at school you're still cracking jokes. Unbelievable." He shook his head.
"Dad, how long was I out?" I asked nervously.
"About a day and a half." He answered. My eyes widened in shock, "what about Peter?! Was he okay? He wasn't injured?" I questioned putting my legs over the edge of the bed. "He's fine, why were you out of class anyway?"
"My teacher, Mr.Livington. He's Living Laser's cousin. It was a set up, he accidentally set off a laser and I bashed myself saving me and Peter from being cut in half. We were headed to the nurse when he attacked." I explained the event. He gave me a confused look, "And I wasn't informed of this because.."
"Because the son of a bitch came here and ruined the night before I could actually speak to any of you," I cut him off.
"You seem close with Peter, this isn't something I started when I got you to stay with him, is it?" He asked. I shook my head, not completely.

"What day is it?" I asked out of the blue.
"Saturday, why?"
"I'm seeing him." It came out as more of a statement then a question as I stood up. "No, you're resting." My dad protested as I walked towards the door. "Dad! He saw you pick me up and fly away, he has to have an explanation." I argued. "And I gave him one. I told him I'm a family friend, that your dad was meeting me at the hospital. You're still Krats to him, Toot." He informed and I let out a breath of relief. "I should still see him." My mind was made up, and they knew there was no arguing with me, I'm as stubborn as my dad.

Within the hour I was standing at the door to the Parker apartment, plucking up the courage to knock. Eventually my hand met wood, and it opened, Peter. "I think we need to ta..." I was cut off when he yanked me closer and kissed me, it was short but passionate. Full of love and care, all I ever wanted. "I'm so glad you're okay." He smiled as we walked over to the sofa. "Is May home?" I asked, he shook his head. "Okay. Well, ask away. What do you want to know?"
"What do you mean? The only thing I care about is you being alive and safe." He responded, not what I expected. "Really? I almost got split in two by a laser, picked up by Ironman, who you now know my family is close friends with, and you have no questions?" My mind was truly blown as he shook his head. "I just want to know who that guy was."
"The Living Laser. I don't know much, but apparently it's the guy who threatened the Starks." I lied, so sick of the lies. "Alright." He mumbled. We went to talk some more but a knock at the door cut us off. He answered it.

"Ned! What happened?" Were the first words I heard Peter shriek from his position at the door, I walked over. His eye was black, his clothes muddy as if he'd been rolling in puddles, his hair knotted. "I'll get you some ice." I said walking to the kitchen whilst Peter took him to sit down. "Here, put this on your eye. It'll help ease the pain." I handed over the small ice pack and Ned placed it over his eye. "Well? What happened?" Peter asked, panic stricken. "Flash, Flash happened." He replied.

Those words, those words made my blood boil, so I ran out. "I'm sorry!" I cried behind me as I ran away, away from the friends being injured on my behalf. I went straight to Flash's house, a perk of having technology, I knew where anyone was.
