A/N - This is TFG's sister, if you haven't already seen the announcement I made on my sister's profile, it is with great sadness I have to let you all know my sister has passed away and thus this story will remain unfinished. This is the last full chapter she had in her drafts and whilst unfinished I will still share it with you guys. There are other drafts, ideas with no titles but I will share them too.

Thank you so much for your support in her works and writing <3

"Now, remember... You have to return the stones to the exact moment you got them. Or you're gonna open up a bunch of nasty alternative realities." Bruce reminded Steve as we stood in the woods. We had built a smaller quantum tunnel and Steve was taking the stones and Mjölnir back. "Don't worry, Bruce. Clip all the branches." Steve nodded.
"You know, I tried. When I had the gauntlet, the stones, I really tried to bring her back. I miss them, man." Both of them looked at me as I held my head high, keeping the tears from falling. "Me, too." Steve sighed.
"You know, if you want, I can come with you." Sam offered, placing an arm around my shoulders and giving me a light squeeze. "You're a good man, Sam. This one's on me, though." Steve replied, before moving over to Bucky.

"Don't do anything stupid 'till I get back." He said.
"How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you." Bucky smirked and the two shared a hug, "Gonna miss you, Buddy." Bucky sighed.
"It's gonna be okay, Buck." Steve assured, before turning to me. I began to look between the two, before stopping and meeting Steve's eyes. "Why do I feel like this is goodbye?" I asked, tears now even closer to falling.
"I'll be back." Steve replied, "but until then, all uncle duties fall to these two. Oh, and make sure they behave." I laughed before hugging Steve, to which he held me tight. "He'd be so proud of you." He whispered as he pulled back, I looked down at my necklace, which I'd designed to be a locket, then back at Steve with a sad smile. "I know. Be safe."
"I will." He walked back to the portal and activated the suit.

"How long is this gonna take?" Sam asked.
"For him? As long as he needs. For us? Five seconds." Bruce replied as Steve picked up Mjölnir. "Ready, Cap? Alright. We'll meet you back here, okay?" Bruce said.
"You bet." Steve nodded.
"Going quantum. Three, two, one..." and then he was gone.
"And returning in, five, four, three, two, one..." nothing.
"Where is he?" Sam asked.
"I don't know. He blew right by his time stamp. He should be here." At Bruce's words i began to panic, until Bucky moved closer, wrapping an arm around me and turning me to face the lake. There he was. Old and grey, but there was no doubt that was Steve Rogers.

"Sam." Bucky's call cut short the argument and he walked over. "Go ahead." Bucky looked at Sam with a smile and I began to realise he knew what Steve was going to do all along. Sam walked forwards and I leant into Bucky. "Next time, you two tell me. I can't keep watching people disappear." I stated.
"Promise." He replied, watching Sam and Steve as he handed over the shield. Sam looked at Bucky, who nodded, before placing it on his arm, realisation settling in as Steve smiled at him. We had a new Captain America. I looked down as my phone buzzed, pulling it out to see a message from Peter. "Ned sends hugs" I laughed at the picture that followed, Ned was hugging himself with a grin on his face. "Hey, Bruce?" I turned and he looked over at me. "What's up?" He asked.
"Can you say hi Ned?" He gave me a weird look, before saying it as I filmed, before sending it off. "I'll see you tonight x" and then I put it away, waving to the group as I made my way home.

"Riley!" I smiled, running up to Morgan and picking her up. "Hey, Princess. Where's mummy?" I asked. She pointed to the lake where Pepper was looking out. "Come on, we've got some cheering up to do." I said, before placing her on my shoulders and running over, causing Morgan to giggle. Pepper turned and smiled at the sound, "did everything go to plan?" She asked as I pulled Morgan down, the three of us sitting down on the grass. "To Steve's plan, yeah. He finally got to live the life he deserved, before his legacy was passed onto Sam." I sighed at the thought, and Pepper placed her hand over mine. "Anyway, I've got to sort out the garage. Morgan, you have a mission." Her eyes lit up at my words, "What is it?"
"Somewhere in your room I've hidden something from daddy. You need to find the clues and get it, okay?"
"What? What did you hide?!" She squealed and I laughed as she jumped onto me lap. "I'm not telling you, it's ruin the surprise!" I tickled her sides, causing her to squeal and move away. "Come on! Come on!" Pepper smiled as Morgan took her hand, pulling her inside. All that mattered was keeping her happy.

I walked over to the garage, taking a deep breath before walking in. It was full of suit parts, some new and some old. "FRIDAY, where is the oldest stuff?" I asked, watching as a light turned on behind some boxes. I cocked my head as I walked over, pulling at them before seeing a glowing panel. "FRIDAY, what is this?" I asked, placing my finger on the scanner and watching as it opened up. "It's your father's messages."
"Messages?" I pulled out a box, seeing rows of small chips, each with a different date. "FRIDAY?"
"Yes, Miss Stark?"
"How can I play these?" I examined the small devices, unfamiliar with their structure. "Here you go." I turned as a long lost helmet made its way to the desk. It was a bright blue helmet with some pink accents, something I'd only seen once, when our mansion was blown up. It was a last resort that took me straight to shield. Fury had given my dad permission to build it for my safety in case anything ever happened and he couldn't protect me, just as when our home was destroyed.

"Is everything alright, Riley?" I jumped at the sound of TUESDAY's voice. "Yeah, I..I just hadn't realised this was still here." I replied.
"Your father kept just about everything." She informed and I nodded, before walking towards it and finding a small slot had opened up. I took the first chip, placing it in and watching the hologram appear.

"Dad." It was a whisper that left my mouth before I could stop it, his face full of pain as he looked at me through his camera. "Hey Toot." He paused, looking down and shaking his head, the smile fading. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen, for you to lose her. I'm sorry I couldn't get there in time. Sally deserved better. You deserve better. I know you're up there in your room, crying alone. I saw the tears in your eyes when we got home, and I want you to know I love you. I realised today that I could lose you at any moment. We don't get to chose where we are when bad things happen, but we can choose what we do. She stuck up for you, I know she did. It's who she was. A good person in an unforgiving world. I'm so sorry." He looked away again, and sighed. "I don't know how to show you, but I know music gets you to listen, so TUESDAY do me a favour and play My Blood."
He vanished and the music began to drift into my ears, the words making me tense up as I wiped away fresh tears. "But you know there will come a day, when I won't be there. But I know that you'll be okay, 'Cause you are my blood." I shook my head, and walked towards the open door, looking at the sky. "If you're listening right now, I never blamed you." I said, before turning my attention to the sound of footsteps. I couldn't make out who was walking through the trees until I saw a familiar face.

"Peter!" I ran over to him, and he opened his arms for me to jump into. Then we shared a sweet kiss and pulled apart. "You've been crying." He said, a thumb wiping away a stray tear. "He left me messages, Peter. I found them in the garage, and he thought I blamed him for Sally." I explained, hands holding his tight, afraid if I let go I'd fall. "He knew you didn't."
"Did he? I was such a bitch at times."
"No. You were a stark. He was just like you." He reminded, a determined loook in his eyes. "You are everything he was, times ten, with a bit of Moonshine mixed in." He said.
"Okay."
