I looked down at my phone, seeing a name I hadn't in a long time appear. "Excuse me just a moment," I smiled at the guests, before making my way outside, answering the call.

"Clint!"
"Hey kiddo."
"How are you? How's Laura and the kids?"
"They're great, hey, I'm...I know it's last minute but I need a favour:"
"Anything, you're family."
"I need supplies, you still got any?"
"Send me a location and I'll be there."
"Thanks kid, and keep this quiet?"
"I got it. See you soon."

"Hey, everything okay?"
"Yeah, I just gotta take care of something."
"Are you going away again?"
"Hey you," I knelt down, now level with my sister, "I've got to go see Uncle Clint, remember him?"
"Uh huh."
"I need you to keep everyone here wrapped around your finger, think you can do that for me?"
"Yep." I smiled, hugging her, before standing again and looking at Pepper, "I have to go." She smiled, pulling me into another hug, before stepping back with a sad smile. "Stay safe."
"Always. I'll be home again for Christmas."

"Alright let's get you to bed, or Santa won't come bring you your presents."
"Awww, okay." Morgan frowned at me.
"Get in there!" I pushed her gently and she giggled, running towards her bed and climbing in. "I love you, M."
"I love you too, Rie."

I walked out, making my way back down the stairs when my phone rang, smiling as I picked up, relived Clint was ok. "Hi, Clint, how'd everything go?"
"Good. I got to meet the infamous Yelena too."
"No."
"Uh huh. Knew you'd be jealous."
"What's she like?"
"We'll, she's definitely Nat's sister." I chuckled at his words, "anyway, that's not why I rang, it's about that lift you offered."
"Head to the airport, I'll call our guys, and I'll have a car meet you on the other end too."
"That's not necc.."
"Clint, you're getting home for Christmas."
"Thanks Riley."
"Don't mention it, merry Christmas, Clint."
"Happy christmas kid."
