Holding each other like the only things left in the world was us.

And for once, I felt peace holding this damn girl in my arms.

"Can you answer this question for me?" She asked.

"Yea always, ask away."

"Do you really care about me.. like you say you do?"

I looked out at the now sunset based horizon and smiled," I do, a lot. I don't know how else you want me to prove it though." I said, rubbing her shoulder.

"I'm unsure, i'm just worried i'm here for your wants instead of your needs." She said softly.

I understood what she was saying on a level I knew she couldn't comprehend.

"I care for you on a level I don't care for people." I said quietly," I don't necessarily have a heart..Not that I know of at least."

She rubbed the top of my hand," I don't know, I think you have a heart." She said," You just can't express your emotions sometimes."

I smiled at that, she was right on some level.

Maybe it was just because I was scared of falling in love again, or watching the person I love die and I can't do anything about it.

It scares me, but this moment right now pushes all of my worries aside.

"I guess you're right, but i'm just worried that when I let myself fully go into something again it'll take a turn for the worst." I said.

"Well it hasn't taken a turn for the worst with me yet right?" She asked.

"Yea, you're right." I looked down at her and smiled, Before kissing her temple.

A few moments passed before she jumped down and grabbed my hand again," Let's go for a walk."

"Alright."

I jumped off the wall and followed her lead.

She took her shoes and socks off as we neared the sand and I did the same.

She let go of my hand for a moment to go run into the sea with her feet," You should join me! It feels nice."

"Hmm, maybe." I said smiling.

"Please."

"Fine."

I walked into the water with her, and she was right, it felt nice.

"See it wasn't that bad." She said.

"I guess so."

She reached out for my hand again and I grabbed it, trailing behind her.

Her hair flowed behind her as she walked, she looked beautiful.

When she looked at me the sunset was so gorgeous, you could see it in her eyes as she smiled.

It made my heart feel warm.

The feelings I had towards this girl were feelings I don't think i've ever truly felt before deep down.

But for the first time a moment with someone felt right, it felt like I had nothing to lose anymore.

My world felt complete.

"You okay." She said," You've spaced out for awhile."

"I'm great Araceli."

I pulled her in by her arm and brought her to my chest.

Holding her close knowing my action caught her off guard.

"I like you, Araceli." I said," I really do."

Her heart began to beat faster as I could feel it pumping against my chest.

"You don't have to say anything, nothing at all, I just want you to know I care for you a lot. I'll always be here for you, no matter what." I said, holding her head.

"Thank you." She said.

"Always."

I leaned down to kiss her forehead one more time before looking out at the horizon.

This was it, how real love feels right.

Yea.

It was.
