"Don't talk to your boss like that, i'll kill you."Just my fucking luck.
________________________________"Sorry sir." I said politely.
"It's fine, we need to talk."
"Alright, i'm all ears."
I heard him sigh before he began to speak,"I know what you did. And i'm not mad, it wasn't your fault."
My heart dropped.
"What're you talking about."
"I know you're the reason he died, and it wasn't your fault." He said," We forgive you, and we know much his death is affecting you."
"How do you know?" I asked softly.
"I know everything. Again.. I'm sorry this happened."
"It's alright. But it's not the best time to talk right now sir." I said quietly.
"I get that, remember you're pushing product tomorrow."
"Yes sir."
"Let me know if you need anything, i'm always here for you."
"I appreciate that."
Then he hung up.
Fuck my life..
.
.
.
.I pulled into my driveway and parked, getting out of my car quickly.
My phone started to buzz in my pocket but I decided to not even bother.
I unlocked my door and walked in.
Throwing my phone on the counter and grabbing some vodka out of the fridge.
"This is fucking stupid."
I chugged it, feeling it burn my throat as it went down.
My phone, still vibrating finally fell off the counter.
"Oh my fucking god."
I picked it up to see 25 missed calls from Araceli.
Followed by 200 text messages.
"I'm not in the mood for this right now." I muttered.
Putting on my do not disturb I made my way into my room and turned on my tv.
I threw myself on my bed and started watching some fake reality show shit.
"Don't leave me im so sorry." The girl said.
"You're not good for m-"
"Oh shut up." I said, flicking the channel.
.
.
After flicking through the channels for about 30 minutes I decided to call it a night and turned my tv off.Goodnight Araceli.
.
.
.
.Knock Knock Knock.
"What the actual fuck."
I sat up and grabbed my gun off my dresser, slowly making my way to the door.
"What the fuck do you want." I said through the door.
"Can you open the door.. it's cold out here."
Araceli.?
I unlocked the door, and there she was. Standing in my shorts and shirt.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked.
"You didn't pick up.. so I walked here."
"You're kidding."
"I'm serious." She said, looking down at her shoes.
They were covered in mud.
"Why."
"I needed to apologize..." She said.
"I don't want an apology." I said,"Come in and get changed. I'm sleeping on the couch."
"Can you listen for once please."
"No. Go home." I said, closing the door in her face.
She's so dumb, why would she walk here this late at night.
She could've gotten hurt.
Or worse.
I rested my head on the door and listened to her knock lightly once again.
"Please." She said, her voice breaking.
"Go. Home."
"I am home.."
"No you aren't, go home."
"Don't do this."
"Go home Araceli."
I locked the door and walked to my kitchen, putting the vodka back in the fridge.
Come on, you're better than this..
Just open the door.
I let out a loud groan as I went to go open the door.
Just let her in..
My hand touched the locked door, but I hesitated when she began to speak.
"I'm sorry. I meant to thank you.. I just didn't know what to do okay. You know I don't think you're a monster. You know I love you.. Please don't forget that.. Goodnight."
As I heard her sniffle her footsteps retreated..
Why do you do this to me..
I unlocked the door and grabbed her arm.
Bringing her face up to mine and kissed her.
She fell into the kiss and pushed me into the apartment and closed the door behind her.
"I love you." She said between breaths.
"I know."
