"i miss.. my mom.."

it's been two days since the rainstorm. i haven't really spoken much about it since then. she understands.
she didn't wanna pry at me, but i decided to let her in, just a bit. and as i knew she consoled me, and told me it was okay.
but i had to push through for her. for me.
"how're you feeling?" she asked, as she ran her hands through my hair. "like i need a damn haircut." i said," i feel like i'm growing a mullet."
"it looks great." she said," even though it does look like you have a mullet, i think you look great."
(here's what it looks like)

(i think it looks amazing.)
"you actually like it?" i asked," because i literally feel like... gross."
"i like it, suits you well, very well. now stop being a baby." she said, flicking me in the space between my eyes.
"ouch."
"that's me trying to bring out your common sense."
"well what if i dont like it after all."
"that's your decision to cut it off babe." she said, kissing my cheek," but i think it looks great."
i watched her walk the other way before i put my hand on my cheek, where she just kissed me. as always, she is kinda right.
maybe it isn't too bad.. i thought to myself.
my phone began to buzz in my pocket as i abruptly picked it up, "yo?"
" you busy?" he asked. but it sounded urgent like somethings up.
"me and araceli just started moving around, what's up?"
"can you get over here?" he said," like now."
