She slowly looked up at me and smiled.

"You kept your promise.."

"Of course I kept my promise, you're my lifeline." I whispered, pulling her up and out of the slide.

"Is it bad I thought you were gonna die?" She said softly.

"No. Im glad you worried for me though." I said, pulling her on my lap.

She looked up and smiled at me.

"This feels way too familiar." She whispered.

"How so?"

"The night we went to the beach remember that? And how we stayed until the stars came out?"

"How could I forget?"

"It's like that night all over again... you know just with our lives on the line." She said looking up.

"We're not in danger anymore." I whispered, rubbing her temple slowly," I took care of it."

"You didn't kill anyone.. did you?" She asked, rolling over to face me.

I don't wanna lie to her, but I don't want her to be afraid of me.

"Do you want the real answer on what I do?" I said hesitantly.

"No." She said quickly," I don't wanna know anymore."

Huh?

"Oh? Why..?"

"Because, you showed me tonight what you do for a living."

"Oh.."

"Yea. You protected me. So that's all I wanted to know, as long as your safe I don't care."

I don't really know what to say right now.

I should be happy about this.. but yet it sounds wrong.

But if that's what she wants then i'll keep it like that.

"Well.. alright then." I said," You wanna dip?"

"Nope. I like it here."

"Why?"

"Because it's peaceful." She said smiling at me," it's all calm now you know?"

"I guess so." I said.

"Yea." She said, grabbing my hand.

The world stops when i'm with you.

"You are my peace." I said smiling.

"Shut up. You sound like you're in a hallmark movie."She said, rolling over.

Fine then.

I leaned against the playground bars and closed my eyes.

"Goodnight." She muttered.

"Goodnight, go to sleep." I said back, tapping her head.

"Shut up."

"As you wish."

I closed my eyes and tried my best to fall asleep.

But I finally did.

Knowing that she was safely laying in my arms once again.
