Chapter 22

Sabrina's POV

"Sabrina?" The waiter asked. I stared at him for a about 10 seconds until I realized who he was. 

"Nick?" I said. I immediately hugged him, with a counter in between us.

~Flashback~
Sabrina's POV

While Rowan was out with her family I decided to call Nick. 

"Hello?" Said the voice on the other side of the line. 

"Hey, Nick. Wanna come over?" I asked. I don't know why, but I feel like I could feel him grinning at the very moment. 

"I'd love to! We kind of need to talk also," 

"Alright, See ya." 

"See ya,"

After about 5 minutes, the doorbell rang. 

"Hey!" He said.

 "Hey!" I let him in. 

"Why did you want me to come over?" Nick asked. 

"Well I had nothing to do. What did you want to talk about?" 

His face immediately changed to an expression that meant something was wrong. "I'm moving..." 

My face fell, "What? Why? When?" 

He came closer, "Sabrina, calm down. My dad got this new job offer down at Florida and he wants the whole family to move on down there. We leave tomorrow," I stared in to his eyes. 

"You can't leave. You are one of my best friends." 

He smiled a sad smile, "I have no choice, B." 

Then in that moment, he slowly started leaning in. This has never happened before.... Nick and I have always had a steady Frienship, ever since we met at camp one summer. 

Nick's lips were softly leaning in to mine. 

Our lips met, and we softly kissed each other. I slowly pulled away, grinning, that was my first kiss. I didn't really know what to say, but suddenly my phone rang.

"Hello?" 

"Hey Sabrina, it's Rowan. Can you sleepover today?" 

"Sure," I replied quietly, still looking at Nick, who was awkwardly standing there.

"Is something wrong?" Rowan asked, sensing the tension in my voice

"No, everything's fine, be there at 8." 

"Kk," the line went dead. 

"Rowan?" Asked Nick. 

"Yep," 

"So, what was that?"

"Um, I don't know,"

~time lapse~
I hugged him tight. 

"I'm gonna miss you so much," Nick let go of the embrace. 

"We'll meet again, B, I promise. I love you." He kissed me. 

"I love you too," I said after the kiss. 

"Kay, Rocky, you ready to go?" 

He stared at me one last time, "Yeah," 

The whole family turned around as I watched them leave, He's gone

~Flashback Over~

"How have you been? We completely lost touch!" 

I smiled, "Well, it doesn't matter because you're here! When did you get back from Florida?" 

"Maybe about a few months ago," 

"You should've called me!" 

"Well I had just been super busy considering my job an-" Nick was cut off. 

"Hey! What's the hold up over there!?" said the man maybe 2 people away from me. 

Nick beamed at me, "I should probably take your order!" 

I nodded, "Yes, please! One Cheeseburger." I took out my wallet and put my money on the counter, but Nick didn't take it,

"Please. It's on the house." I frowned. 

"No! Are you kidding, I'm paying!" "Too late! I cashed it in!" He said smiling. 

I put the cash in the tip jar when he turned around.

He handed me my burger. 

"Can we, um, catch up later?" Nick asked me

"Well, I already made plans all day so how about tomorrow? We could have lunch together!" 

"Perfect! You can just come back here!" Nick said. 

"Well, I have to go, it was so great seeing you, Nick" 

"You too, B" he said. I turned around and got startled when I saw Rowan in front of me. 

I raised my eyebrows, "Something wrong?" 

Rowan crossed her arms, "Oh no everything's fine, except for the fact that you COMPLETELY hurt Zoey's feelings! I thought you were better than that," 

My eyes bulged right out of my head. "Me? The only reason I was like that was because I knew that she hurt you! Because of her, it took you 3 damn years to get over the boy that made out with Zoey!" 

"Well, maybe she had a good reason to do what she did," 

I crossed my arms, "And what would that be?" 

Rowan's eyes softened, "Nevermind...." She's hiding something! "Okay. Spill it, Rowan!" 

"What do you mean?" 

"What are you hiding?" 

"Nothing," Seriously Rowan? Like I said a million times before, the worst liar EVER! 

"You know what? I don't have time for this! Hope you had an amazing lunch with Zoey today!" I turned around and headed towards the exit. What is she keeping from me?

BOOK IS CURRENTLY BEING EDITED AND I MADE CHANGES, I TURNED ROCKY'S NAME TO NICK BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE THE NAME ROCKY, I don't know what I was thinking with the name, but please be aware the when I first write the book, Nick was rocky, now Rocky is Nick. Same person, different names.
