Chapter 28 - 2

Rowan's POV

I had no idea what we were watching but everyone else seemed to be interested. Since I was bored out of my mind, I decided to get on my phone.

After about 5 minutes of scrolling through Instagram, I received a text.

Peyton: Hey why aren't you watching the movie?

Me: cuz it's boring, in my opinion

Peyton: I'm kind of bored 2, wanna go out on a smoothie run?

Me: sureeeee

"Hey, Rowan and I are kind of bored. We are going to go and buy everybody some smoothies, what do you guys want? Peyton said.

"At 9 P.M.?" Sabrina asked.

"Well we're bored so..." I said.

I took out my phone and opened up the Notes app.

"Alright, I guess. Strawberry banana smoothie, size small." Sabrina said.

"Same size, but blueberry smoothie." Zoey said.

"And I'll have an avocado smoothie, size medium." Bradley said.

I typed everything down.

"Ok, we'll be back by 9:30!" I yelled, heading towards the door.

"I didn't know it took 30 minutes to go on a smoothie run." Zoey yelled after me.

"Yeah, well we're gonna sit down and talk too, see ya later wierdos!" I yelled.

Peyton and I walked out the door and we got in his car. It wasn't a truck like Bradley's, it was a minivan.

"Why a minivan?" I asked Peyton

"I don't know, it's the first car I saw in the car shop." He replied.

~ time lapse ~

After I ordered everybody a smoothie, I put the three other smoothies on the side of the table and sipped on mine.

As I stared down at my phone Peyton spoke up.

"So...uh We haven't had a chance to talk about what happened on Sunday...." he said.

I bit my lip.

"What's there to talk about?"

"Rowan, please. I don't want us to keep laughing and talking as if what happened that day.... never happened." he said.

"What do you want me to say?" I said. I seriously didn't know where this was going.

"Well at least say something about it..."

"That's the thing! I don't know what happened! I don't know if it was a 'caught-in-the-moment' thing, or if we have.... I don't know...."

"Rowan, I'm just going to come out and say it, I like you! We haven't been friends as long as you and Sabrina have, but when I stared in to your eyes, I knew I liked you! I just need to know if you do too..." He said. I stared at him blankly.

Peyton Meyer likes me.

"Are you asking me out?" I asked.

He sighed. "Yes."

I looked down at the floor. Do I like Peyton?

"Ok you understand that you just sprang this on me! Would you mind if i asked for a little bit of time.....?"

"Yeah, sure, I guess. I am busy this weekend so when I see you on Monday, are you going to have an answer for me?" He asked

I nodded. Peyton Meyer asked me out.

"We should get going..." He said.

I nodded again, we walked towards the door. By the time we arrived, the lights were on in the house and the three teens were sitting around the counter laughing.

"What are we talking about?" I asked smirking at Sabrina.

"Oh nothing. You have our smoothies?" Sabrina asked.

I held two out and Peyton held one.

"Here you go." We passed the smoothies to the people who ordered them. Sabrina checked the time.

"Get out, boys!" She yelled.

"What?" Bradley asked.

"It's 10, OUT!" She yelled.

Sabrina grabbed Bradley while Zoey gt Peyton, the 2 pushed the guys out the door.

"Bye!" The girls said in unison. They slammed the door and turned around smiling.

I eyed them suspiciously.

"What?" I asked.

"You and Peyton were gone for a while, what happened?" Zoey asked. The 2 girls were walking towards me.

I got up and sat on the couch.

"Oh you know....he asked me out...."

"WHAT!?" They both yelled.
