Sabrina's POV

"Gotcha!"

"Dang it!"

Bradley told me he wasn't the best at laser tag but I didn't know he was this bad!

The siren signaling the End of the game rung

I went to the exit and took of my vest. Bradley came about 5 minutes after me, "What took you so long?"

"I was waiting for the score cards to get printed. I got you one,"

He handed it to me. I immediately saw the code name I was assigned to, Igniter.

"Yes! I'm number 1! What was your name?"

"Oh it doesn't matter, you wann-"

"No, no, no! What was your name?"

He hesitated for a while.

"Fireball..."

I looked for Fireball on the card, "Number 16? Bradley! There were 16 players!"

"I know, I know. I guess I wasn't at my best today."

"Something on your mind?"

"Nah, I'm fine." Liar. "So wanna grab some food?" He asked.

I smiled. "Definitely,"

~Time Lapse~

"Drinks?"

"Water is fine, thank you," I said.

The waiter looked at Bradley and waited for his order. He wasn't paying attention.

"Bradley!" I yelled. I grabbed his hand. He immediately snapped back to reality.

"What?" I motioned to the waiter. He took a while to realize what was going on.

"Oh! Um... water.... please,"

The waiter nodded and left.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"Yeah! I'm fine!" There was some awkward silence after that...

"So did you finish Mr. Johnson's assignment?" I asked.

"Assignment?"

"Umm... Ya know. We had to write a 2 page essay about whatever the heck chapter 9 was about in our history books,"

His eyes bulged.

"Crap! I completely forgot!"

I giggled, "Bradley, it's due tomorrow!"

He checked the time.

"If I leave after lunch I can be done by 2 am, I haven't even read chapter 9."

"Just go, Bradley. I will wait for the food and I can drop it off at your house,"

He frowned, "No, I will not leave you to eat lunch all by yourself because I was irresponsible."

"Bradley. Go. Your mom would kill you if you didn't get it in. Go!" I gave him a smile.

"Okay, but I promise I will make it up to you!"

I rolled my eyes, "You always do,"

" Thank you so much!" He gave me a hug. "See you tomorrow?"

"Of course!" The bell above the door rang as he disappeared into the bright sunny outdoors. I took out my phone. "Sarah? I need to talk to you,"
