Sabrina's POV

Why did the star have to be hidden in the forest!? So many vines have grown over it and it's annoying. I see some wood. The treehouse! Well the treehouse's ladder.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of some twigs snapping.

"Rowan?"

I looked around. Nobody.

Some leaves could be heard crunching.

"Okay, seriously! Come out!"

I see a figure with dark brown hair pop out. It's not Rowan...

"Why the heck are you here? Did you follow me?" I asked Zoey.

"I was just taking a walk and I saw you. Rowan told me you were hanging out at the Cafe for lunch, why are you here?"

"Well it's none of your business so just leave me alone. It's bad enough you've taken Rowan from me, I don't need you taking anyone else Important in my life, leave."

"Sabrina, there is a good reason why she forgave me so easily!"

Seriously?

"Here we go again!"

Zoey furrowed her eyebrows.

"Wait... what do you mean by again?"

"I came here because Rowan asked me to meet her here so that she could tell me why she forgave you so easily. Apparently there is this completely understandable reason as to why you guys are besties again. But She isn't here yet so I'm beginning to think she changed her mind, so go ahead and spill."

"She was gonna... Nevermind. You want to go in that treehouse right there."

Zoey was pointed up the tree. I turned around and just started walking up the ladder.

"I will take that as a yes..."

I heard Zoey say behind me.

When I got to the top I saw the latch. The door was tiny and had a poster that said;

SABRINA AND ROWANS's TREEHOUSE! :) NO BOYS ALLOWED!!! GIRLS ONLY!

I smiled to myself. I used to believe boys were nothing but trouble. I guess it's kind of true, but some are pretty sweet... like Bradley. I remember making this sign with Rowan. She had brought her box of markers from home and we made the sign together, then decorated it with some stickers.

I opened the door and squeezed myself through. The treehouse was pretty cozy. There were picture books piled up next to a small window. Across from it were a couple of bean bags and pillows. Ah the place where Rowan and I told all our secrets. We had shopped for all these items together, holding our piggy banks as we ran through Target, picking out the prettiest and pinkest pillows and beanbags.

Next to one of the beanbags was a small chest. It had a whole bunch of princess stickers decorating it. I opened it up. Inside was a diary, a C.D. Player, and a picture of me and Rowan. I picked up the diary, I don't remember where I placed the key... I'll find it later. I then picked up the C.D. Player and pressed the eject button. Inside was the Little Mermaid Soundtrack. Finally, I picked up the picture.... I miss her. Rowan has always been my unbiological sister.

"It seems you're bringing back childhood memories..."

I got startled from the voice.

"I'm sorry, I forgot you came here with me. So you want to tell me what happened?"

Zoey sighed.

~ Zoey tells Sabrina everything, what happened to her as a child, how she had to tell Rowan, and why she didn't want to tell her ~

"We didn't want to put you in danger,"

I looked down to the floor. Now I'm ashamed..

"What I said before..." I started

"Sabrina, it's okay. You didn't know, pretty sure nobody would have guessed."

"I guess this is a completely understandable reason. I'm sorry about what I said about you leaving me alone..."

"You don't have to keep apologizing. I would've been just as mad."

I hugged her. When We let go of the embrace Zoey smiled.

"So want to tell me about this key?" Zoey asked.

She held up a small silver key. The key to the diary. I smirked.

"Where did you find that?"

"Saw it on my way in. What does it unlock?"

"Our diary," I said. She handed it to me and I went to the chest. I picked up the pink diary, put the key in, and turned. Once I heard the click I grinned at Zoey, who was already seated next to me on the floor. I opened up the diary and saw old looking pages.

"What does it say?" Zoey asked.

"Well, let's see this page is labeled 'The cute boy of Mrs. Reidman's Homeroom Class'"

Zoey laughed.

"First, who wrote it?"

I looked at the bottom of the page.

Love, Rowan. It read.

"See for yourself."

I handed the diary to Zoey. She scanned through it.

"Johnny Randolph gets my heart to skip a beat every time he talks to me?"

She paused again. She was still reading.

"Love, Rowan?" Zoey exclaimed.

"Rowan had a crush on Johnny Randolph? The same kid who helped her get down from the monkey bars because she was crying of fear to get down?"

"What other Johnny?"

Zoey and I started laughing.

"How long did she have a crush on him?" Zoey asked.

"Until she met Ryan. The douche bag that scarred all three of our lives."

Zoey seemed to tense up a bit. But was still giggling.

"So what's up with your love life so far?" Zoey asked smirking.

I threw a pillow at her.

"How about we talk about that this Friday. You AND Rowan can both come over this Friday for a sleepover!"

Zoey's smile became even bigger

"Can't wait!" She replied.

"Rowan doesn't know I know yet so we have to tell her after school." I said. I then checked the time

"Crap! Class starts in less than 5 minutes! I'm gonna be late!"

Zoey stopped.

"Go!!"
